I’m very excited to share that in November, I’ll be hosting a group trip to Venice, Italy for the Venice Art Biennial. ✨
It’s no secret that travel, art, and culture are my greatest passions and I’m incredibly happy that my first founder-led journey gets to reflect that.

In 2022, I went to La Biennale Arte for the first time, the year Simone Leigh became the first Black woman to headline the United States Pavilion. It was not just inspiring but ultimately led me to starting @travelogique , my travel concierge agency. This year, I had to return for “In Minor Keys”, curated by the late Koyo Kouoh- the first Black woman ever appointed to curate the Biennale.

This six-day cultural immersion anchored by the Olympics of the art world, brings together art, food, music, and the layered beauty and culture of Venice beyond the expected.

2016 ~ the first time I moved to Paris to study abroad for a spring semester. I had newly fallen in love with film photography, and still remember the lady who developed my rolls. Her tiny corner shop was down the street from my university metro stop. She always styled a big seventies blowout, smelled like cigarettes, and wore dark blue eyeliner along her waterline. She was pretty cold when I first met her, but that changed after she developed the first roll I left, and saw photos of my chocolate brown Newfie (Newfoundland) dog. She told me she’d had one growing up too. After that, she was all smiles whenever I dropped off new film 💌

One evening, fall of ‘24 I hopped on an uptown train. Met up with friends and again, mesmerized by what I saw.

The genius of Alvin Ailey ✨ His efforts to be and to flourish in his lifetime. The universe created with other like minds and bodies—existing and thriving in a realm, worthy of the title,pioneer.

But honestly, when you are doing what you are called to do—you are in fact, following the path. So while it may be pioneering to the onlookers, it’s just living and honoring oneself.

My soul sister and internationally acclaimed starlet @joysunday was announced the new global ambassador of @lancomeofficial in New York 🚀💜

I cried a few times this week, especially hearing her speech about beauty in this world where us dark skinned Black girls are finally starting to be platformed for the beauty we couldn’t really see. My Joy is the moment. It meant the world to be able to join her, @mingey , General Manager of #Lancome and EIC @instylemagazine as well as so many beautiful friends and family to ring in this new era.

Get used to her face! Get used to her glamour (she was styled by @godarrylgo in @laquan_smith ) but most importantly get ready for her goodness. She is a treat on and offscreen. A breath of fresh air. Familiarity, realness, home in another person 🥹 I love you Joy and I see God working through you!
