It’s #fancywatchfriday and if this isn’t the fanciest watch in existence, I don’t know what is. I mean, it has a painting of the fanciest cat ever. Hand painted by the one and only @noractime . How much fancier can a watch get? @aviantime , is it fancy enough for you to overlook the song?

So, yesterday was wifey’s birthday. Man, I love that woman. I’m very lucky to have her, and so is Freud. Parabéns, Budi ❤️. As you can see, Freud collaborated with @noractime to get wifey the ultimate birthday gift. And @noractime really came through. What a talented artist! Thank you for your patience, for playing along with all the secrecy, and for the amazing work of art 🙌.

Moving to another very important topic, #treeniswatchweek starts next Monday 😱. The greatest theme week off all time is happening from October 5 to 10, hosted by Commander-in-treenis @compulsive_watch_collector , @kaiwithtime , @its_time_to_show_off_watches (myself), @barrybouquet and @normnorman70 . Unusual Strap Saturday no.33

This Unusual Strap Saturday marks a year of Unusual Straps on Saturdays. The first ones were photos only, so the number denotes how many videos there have been.

Should I go for another year of Unusual and mainly unusable straps?

Luckily this weekends strap is a fully usable, durable strap!

This placemat turned out to be a great material, easy to work with, quite comfortable on the wrist and with endless designs available.

I can highly recommend making strap out of placemats if they are of the right type and thickness.

Unusual Strap Saturday no.27

The earlier flat wire strap turned out to be great in all aspects, so I had to get some more flat wire.

This time it’s a gray flat wire which works just as well as the rainbow one. It’s even a bit thinner which makes it easier to work with.

So, here is this weeks Unusual Strap:
A fully usable, more muted and versatile strap!

This one is being sent to @noractime so that he can pair it with one of his beautiful creations!

Something a little different today, but still very much watch related.

I was incredibly lucky to win this beautiful painting of the Piaget Polo 79 by @noractime It’s always special to receive something handmade, and the amount of detail and craftsmanship that went into this piece is simply amazing.

I tried to capture its beauty in this video, although it honestly looks even better in person. Thank you again for this wonderful giveaway!

🌈 It’s 𝑆𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑦 𝑖𝑛 𝐹𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 time ! And also part II of the collab between @watchograf and I @noractime. If you remember his unusual strap post last Saturday, Erik showed us this electrical ribbon strap. When he send this one to me, I didn’t even saw it before.

So here I am with this very colorful strap and I have to find a design idea for the F-91 I want to pair it with. Well, this is what I came with : A matching alien or maybe a wrestler (Rey Mysterio vibe, no ??) on the watch, perfect association with this strap.

Now I had to find a cool place to take pics of this crazy association ! So let’s go to @expomisterfreeze in Toulouse. The expo takes place in a former fire station (that’s why you can see a Spider-Fire-Man on the wall !
There are a lot of artists inside and I think the watch perfectly found its way in the middle of all this artistry !

Anyway, I hope you will like this collaboration with Erik. Let me know if we should sell this unique watch and strap ? Like a piece of art that you can wear from time to time to impress people 😎
