WHAT IS KONTRAST?

KONTRAST was never meant to become another night with a genre stamped across the top. The name is quite literal. The fun is in the contrast: between sounds, generations, scenes, formats and people.

Bringing international artists we believe in into HALL, putting them next to the people shaping things locally, and giving both enough room to actually do their own thing. Sometimes that means three stages and live music. Sometimes it means putting a soundsystem in the middle of the floor.. And sometimes it means dancing very, very fast.

So far, @kontrast.rave has hosted Ollie Lishman, Melbourne’s STÜM, Lego ; live acts like Gusted, Kristjan Glück and Rome In Reverse ; and some of our loved locals - Merimell, micaxsan, Motobor, Andreas Kask, QSLAP, Katja Adrikova, to name a few.

Which brings us to now.

MIJA. QSLAP. NORA.

For KONTRAST 004 we’re going back to the simplest version of a club night: a good room, a proper system and people who came to dance.

Summer is over. School is back.
Hardgroove is on the menu!
