It's September, aka Suicide Prevention Month. I haven't talked about this a lot because, quite frankly, I didn't want to be labeled as "that girl that went to the mental hospital senior year." But this year in particular, I think it's important for me to talk about. About 4 years ago, I was in a really, really low point of my life. I wasn't going to school, I wasn't eating, I wasn't sleeping, I was isolating myself, and most importantly- I wasn't talking to anyone about what I was feeling. I almost gave up, I almost made the biggest mistake of my life, but something deep inside begged me to get some help. I am so, so glad I did. My time in PHP took me from not being able to envision myself even a year into the future to being excited about what comes next. Did that place completely heal me? No. Do I still have hard days? Absolutely. But I'm happy to say that in the 4 years since, I have never considered cutting my life short again. One of the biggest reasons is because I learned to lean on people. I learned that the small embarrassment or guilt from asking for help is so much less than the heartache of going through it all alone. Crying is much more comfortable on a shoulder than into your own hands. That being said, this post is a love letter to my life and a reminder to love yours. Life is hard. Life really sucks sometimes, but people can be so, so good. Thank you to everyone- my friends, my family, my teachers, my therapists, my coworkers, and every single stranger who offered me a smile in the past 4 years. You are why I keep going. And if you're reading this and thinking that you don't have someone in your life that would lend an ear, I promise you that you do. If no one else, I will be that ear. Please remember that you are so loved and you are so incredibly important!! If things are hard today, they will get better. Live long enough to let that be true. I love you❤️

Who am I anyway? Am I my resume?

Being in A Chorus Line is an experience I will never forget. This show grew me as an actor, a dancer, and a singer. Getting to perform as Paul in one of the preview shows was so amazing and something I will not forget. Thank you to everyone for bringing this stunning show to life!! I’m going to miss the backstage banter, the late night car talks, the friendships new and old, and sadly, it’s time to kiss the day goodbye. I love you all so much, thank you for giving me a space to grow and to do what I love to do 💜
