Our dress up theme is TIMELESS 🖤 For tonight’s look, I’m rocking a pre-loved tailored kimono suit jacket I found at a 2nd hand market in Japan, with these beautiful two-tone resin buttons (gifted to me by my gorgeous friend Alexandra @alexandramiftahruss some 20 years ago.) My sexy fez by the talented @yasminablack 🎶 A little reminder that great design, treasured friendships and beautiful things really are timeless! ✨ 🎬 Only TWO screenings left this year! @fashionthrufilm returns 28th of September with Bill Cunningham New York. Directed by Richard Press, the documentary follows Bill Cunningham’s distinctive approach to observing fashion.  Taking to the streets on his beloved bicycle, through NYC and documenting the people who inhabit the city. September’s theme is: “Daily Armor”, everyday dressing as both protection and communication, a way of negotiating identity, status, occupation, belonging and visibility in public life. Cunningham’s photographs form a timeless record of how dress operates beyond the runway, from the practical language of uniform to highly individual expressions of style. She’s a Goddess, 2026 Presented as part of Water is a Mirror at @nautistudios Nauti Studios, a group exhibition exploring our deep ecological, biological and historical connection to water. Inspired by curator Sabrina Sokalik’s reflection on water as both mirror and metaphor, a force that reveals, refracts, doubles and connects ✨ She’s a Goddess responds through wearable art, movement and the observed figure. This work began with ten metres of preloved fabric carrying layered histories; screen printed with my peacock artwork symbolising renewal, then overlaid with metallic print paste from an earlier collaborative artwork with artist @wolfwerk_photography celebrating women. Repurposed curtains into a bespoke gown, the garment’s flowing drapes echo the movement of water. Constructed with removable panels, it can be fastened or opened to reveal shifting compositions of drapery and body. Activated by a suspended model or performer, the work becomes a living study, inviting artists to observe the figure in motion, much like water itself: fluid, reflective, transformative. In a time when our waterways reflect both beauty and ecological urgency, Water is a Mirror asks us to consider what water reveals about ourselves. 🌊✨ 📸 @alt3nding ⚓️✨🙏 #SustainableFashion #LifeDrawing #NautiStudios #upcycled #slowfashion
