Last week I convinced 19 people to do a bunch of pull-ups, 287 to be exact. And for every pull up they did, I would do one calorie on the echo bike. It could have been worse 287 turned out to be a solid 26:31 and just above a 10 cal/min pace which is pretty good for these short legs. It was all @auztraub‘s idea. It was fun and we’ll probably do it again. Need more people and more pull-ups to make this more painful for me 🥱

Consistancy wins this week 💪

Fitness isn’t about being able to win one workout or having the highest PRs.

It’s about showing up consistently and getting the work done

Overall: @trainersteve_ is one of the most consistent WODsAppers and is the top dawg this week 💪 @notsamjones_ takes second and @6foot8crossfit is back in third

Strength: Sam is back on top by a razor thin margin over Josie, @kellysully21 firmly in 3rd

Endurance: Kelly and Josh have this category wrapped with Jacked Steve making a surprise appearance!

Anaerobic: @ianparker141 and @jacobdancler are basically tied with elite scores, Steve takes third

Upload your training, get it scored and see where you land on the leaderboard 🤝

Top 5 scores in each category across the last 5 weeks are considered

Squatober: Day 2!

My friend Sam, the creator of @wods_app , reached out and said he liked what I’m doing with Squatober and wanted to get involved.

So he decided to give away a few free cases of @rockstarenergy to some lucky people who complete their Squatober workout and submit their score through his app.

Obviously, I thought this was a pretty good way to get more people involved.

The rules are easy:
1 - Must be following @wods_app and myself to be considered.
2 - Go to the link in his bio and enter into the Squatober Challenge.
3 - Complete the workout and submit it on the leaderboard.
4 - idk I guess wait until November when the competition is done and we announce who won?

Squatober workout:
On October 1st you do a 1 minute consecutive squat hold.
On October 2nd you do a 2 minute consecutive squat hold.
On October 3rd you do a 3 minute consecutive squat hold.
And so on, all the way to October 31st.

Any additional clarifications can be asked in the comments below 🫡

How many days do you think you’ll be able to last?

Big changes on the board this week!

Overall: Kelly takes the crown with jacked Steve and Michael making a fresh appearance

Strength: tight race between 1/2/3, Josie in the lead, Sam makes it back on the board and Kelly holding onto third

Endurance: no changes here. Ian, Kelly and Josh have this category locked down

Anaerobic: hard to compete with Ian and Jacob here, the old man takes 3rd

Athletes who don’t have 5 workouts logged in a category over they last 5 weeks get dropped 👀

Ian needs to hit the weights and log some strength while Jacob needs to log some miles on the endurance side

Have to keep proving your fitness to stay on top!

Quality > quantity, I count at least 5 PRs between the three of us which is HUGE

Congratulations to @jess_swank and @notsamjones_ !!

Before CrossFit I was doing pull-ups in a park and lifting weights in my basement

Even now lifting weights is usually 50% of my training and a lot of it is still done in my basement

My favorite is when the kids tag along and workout with me

For tracking I’ve used pen/paper, notes app, even writing PRs on my wall with a sharpie (actually kinda cool)

I was never consistent

Since building WODsApp I have never missed logging a lift

Whether I’m at home or at the gym I can look up what I did last week, last month, or last year in seconds

I don’t have to scramble around to find a notebook or dig around in my notes app

Everything is in one place, searchable, easy to find, easy to make sense of

DM me to get the beta app and start logging your lifts consistently!
