Thanks to my buddy @devinpennypacker I got to check out some awesome watches at @analogshift last week. This is the first time I’ve ever had the opportunity to handle a Cartier Crash, and I gotta admit that I really loved it. So strange but delightful. I totally understand the appeal…even if the price tag is a bit extreme. I also can’t help but want to see what this would look like on me with a platinum mesh bracelet to match the case….(because that should help the price go from never ever, to never ever ever x infinity).

Today is World Mental Health Day. I have personally come a long way and struggled with my own mental health. And I can’t stress the importance enough of caring for yourself, asking for help, and making your mental health a priority.

This watch community brings me so much happiness. Every moment I spend writing about watches. Talking with @ticktick_taptap about watches. Traveling for watches…it’s all because I derive so much joy from this hobby and even more so from the people who are part of this community.

My very first article I wrote in watches was for @timetidewatches and it was about my own mental health. About my BB58 and how I view it as a mental health milestone watch. I pinned it up in my bio, you can read it if you’d like.

Prioritize yourself. Ask for help. Do the things you love.

I’m tagging a few of the wonderful friends I’ve made because of this hobby. But there’s a fuck ton more than 20.

Une belle occasion de découvrir l’univers de Buci et sa collection Nouvelle, limitée à 300 pièces, dans une atmosphère conviviale où passionnés et amateurs d’horlogerie se retrouvent autour d’une même passion.

At the Toronto Timepiece Show, the new Nouvelle from @buci.paris.watches stopped me in my tracks. I planned to just say hi to a friend I was finally meeting in person, but many pages or frames later, here we are.

I had to shoot it because of the care Nousseïma put into every detail: calligraphy on the dial that’s nicer than my handwriting ever was, a paper-textured dial you’ll want to touch (please don’t, I just cleaned it), gentle curves throughout, and case sides that look like the pages of a closed book. A watch you can judge by its cover and its spine.

This is what happens when a poet builds a watch. My only job was not to mess it up.
