It’s a pretty cool honor to be recognized on Nashville Songwriters Association International’s (NSAI) Bob Kingsley’s top 40 for a song I co-wrote with @songwritinglove (Kathy Wallace). Thanks for adding it to the list!

SEPTEMBER HIGHLIGHTS 2026 🇦🇺🎶

September was another one that flew by, filled with music, friends, memorable moments and a few unexpected adventures along the way!

Plenty of great cowrites, writers rounds and music industry events throughout the month, including the opportunity to write at the historic Jeannie Seely Cottage, a CMA event, AIMP Enent, Jill from NSAI and catching buddy July Turner at BMI's Plug & Play Basement.

It was a big month for awards too! 🏆
The Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry were a highlight, and it was great to see "Ho Ho Hold My Beer" pick up Male Holiday Song of the Year! Huge congratulations to Kipper Lee! 🎄🍻

Also attended the NSAI Nashville Songwriter Awards, with Gonzo the Muppet being a definite highlight of the night!

September also brought two more songwriter cuts with "How The West Got Wild" and "High Horse" on Megan Barker's new album Humble Beginnings. It was great celebrating with Megan at her album launch, and an added thrill hearing "How The West Got Wild" getting some radio love on the legendary 650 WSM! 📻🎶

Away from the songwriting world, caught some Nashville Predators hockey, Sarah headed home to Australia for a visit, and I took the opportunity to tackle a laundry renovation while she was away! 🔨

And to round out the month, we unexpectedly found ourselves rescuing three little kittens from our backyard! Domino, Coconut and Maggie May certainly kept us busy, and all three eventually made their way to Nashville Humane Association (NHA) to find their forever homes. A bittersweet but rewarding little adventure! 🐈❤️

Another month of music, memories and making the most of this Nashville journey.
On to Roctober! 🎸🇺🇸

Next up Songwriter @jamigroomsmusic!
Jami Grooms is known for raw, honest songs about family, real life, redemption, and the road it takes to get there. His music is rooted in real stories—hard living, bad decisions, tough lessons, and ultimately the grace of God. Now many years sober, his songs carry the kind of truth that can only come from living it.

He has written songs for Eddie Montgomery, Colt Ford, Bryan Martin, Brent Cobb, Matt Mason, and Jacob Bryant, among others. With over 63 million streams, his catalog includes the viral mother-son dance anthem “Her Little Man,” which has earned more than 35 million views on TikTok alone.

Jami has also written for FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals and Sony/ATV Music Publishing, continuing to build a career rooted in authentic songwriting and Southern soul. Most days, when he’s not on stage or in the writing room, he’s at home on the farm with his beautiful wife—living the same life he writes and sings about.
