In lab, we practiced intramuscular and intradermal injections on each other. Don’t know if we’d do this as optometrists, but still a good skill to learn 💉💦 #optometry #intramuscularinjection #nsuoptometry #eyebelieve #studygram

Earned my Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry at this year’s meeting. I’m grateful for all of my past mentors, colleagues, and friends for supporting me through this journey!

Swink’d found its people at AAO 🤎✨ What a few days. To everyone who stopped to say hi, took a photo, downloaded Swink’d, shared their thoughts, introduced us to someone new, or simply gave us a few minutes to hear what we’re building — thank you. The support, excitement and love for Swink’d meant more to us than you know. We left AAO even more excited about what’s ahead. 🫶 See someone you know? 👀 Tag them below — and tag yourself if we found you! We truly love you guys. 🤎 — The Swink’d Team #Swinkd #AAO #Optometry #OptometryStudents #FutureOD

When I graduated optometry school in 2019, my classmates/colleagues awarded me with “Most Likely To Own Their Own Practice.” It’s taken 7 years, but I so look forward to making this dream a reality & showing you what I create 🤗❤️

People often think optometry is just glasses & contacts, when in reality there’s so much more to the profession! Depending on the state and scope of practice, optometrists can perform different types of procedures. This week we’re learning different types of injections as well as laser procedures 💉👩🏻‍⚕️👁️ #optometrystudent #optometryschool #lasers #for #injections

Last week I joined NBEO as a member of the PAM Refractive Examination Development Committee. Our committee develops the second of the three-part national examination sequence that every new doctor of optometry must pass in order to practice in the US. Thank you to my former @nsuoptometry professors and administration for recommending me for this important work that I am honored to do outside of private practice. Rest assured, standards will remain 20/20. 💪👁️

Stop #4 on the Orientation Road Show: NOVA 💙🦈 This class came with great energy, and I have no doubt they’re going to make their mark on the profession. There’s something so exciting about meeting a new class at the very beginning of their journey and getting a glimpse of the impact they’re going to have. Class of 2030, this is just the beginning. Keep that energy, stay curious, support one another, and remember the reason you started. The future of optometry is in good hands. NOVA, thank you for the warm welcome! I’m excited to watch this class grow, learn, and become the doctors they’re meant to be. On to the next stop! ✈️ #optometrystudentsrock #weareVSP #NSUOptometry
