i’m just going to say it. I’M PROUD OF MYSELF.

two things:
01. getting a PB on this course without proper training again. 1:38:26, which means i’ve improved my time by 3 minutes and 43 seconds.

the reason why i’m proud is because my training block had been awful due to family life, work and other obligations. I haven’t spent time on training. a good week would be 20k if i’m lucky as a total mileage 🤣

02. first time wearing @ntemworld and representing this brand on the big stage today marks the beginning of something big. a brand representing the everyday athlete like myself to get at it.

a huge thank you to my wife @habs_ who always supports me, believes in me and is my biggest supporter. the one working behind the scenes to make all of this possible. the fact that my son knows what a marathon is today makes me extra happy, and getting to see his joy when he sees me 😍

thank you to @samri.d , who always joins us whenever there’s a marathon 🤣

and of course, a huge congratulations to my bro @a.mauridi , who had an incredible race, and we got to run together this time!! so much fun pushing each other all the way.

see you next year @stockholmhalvmarathon

yeah, I completely understand that it looks ridiculous filming yourself during a race 🤣 but we’re doing it for the love of the game.

my goal is to inspire other everyday athletes to go for it. If I can make someone start believing in themselves, my job is done.

race video coming soon..

first race of the year. where do I even start?
am I happy with my performance? yes and no. let me explain.

the plan was to pace @praiseeoo towards a sub-45 10K. then chaos happened.

he missed the start because of traffic 😅 and had to run with another group, so we completely missed each other.

my evening wasn’t much better.

a terrible warm-up, running late to my start, and eventually having to switch to a start group that was significantly slower than my pace.

so I spent most of the race zig-zagging through people, trying to find some sort of rhythm.

I ended up running 43:22 chip time.
just 2 seconds away from my 10K PB.
on one of the toughest 10K courses in Sweden, with plenty of hills, while currently running a maximum of 20K per week.

so yeah, I’m actually pretty happy.

this was also my first time running @midnattsloppet . running a race at night was definitely a fun experience, although I have to admit, I prefer daytime races. 😉

the conditions weren’t ideal, but that’s also the reality of my life right now.
I’m in the middle of the small-kids season of life. time is limited, and I’m not going to be able to train as much as I once did.

and honestly? that’s okay.

there are still big goals ahead.
I just have to chase them within the reality I’m living in right now.

1% better, one step at a time @ntemworld

it’s hard to accept that everything eventually comes to an end.

time keeps moving, and one day, the moments you love will be over.

enjoy them while they last.

now i’m chasing new dreams @ntemworld

the more time passes, the more I appreciate the game.

the last chapter of my career was miserable. if I’m honest, I didn’t enjoy football anymore. I took it for granted. I thought it would always be there. I was too naive to realize that one day it would all become memories.

some days, it still hurts. I still catch myself wondering, what if?

but life moves forward.

that chapter is over, and now I’m chasing a new passion. not to replace football, because nothing ever will, but to build something that gives me that same feeling of purpose again.

so the journey of building something great has finally started. I’ll keep this post short, I’ll make videos about this later on.

for over 2 years now, I’ve been thinking about how I can continue inspiring people to become 1% better every day by having an athlete’s mindset. through that mindset, I’ve managed to accomplish a lot in my life, including my football career.

then @ntemworld became a vision I had. not just another running brand, no no no. this is going to be an extension of myself and the vision I have to help people by building a community of like-minded individuals, while doing it with taste. through curated content, irl events and of course great products that represent the brand the identity of someone who wants to be the best everyday athlete.

the main mission will always be to help people to become better every day. this is just one of the first products acting as a vessel.
