The upcoming edition of Typographic Nights — curated by @paulinatrzeciak.pl — turns its focus towards a new generation of graphic designers. It brings together three recent graduates whose practices offer distinct approaches to type design, publishing and image-making. 🔤 📠 ✂️ 🖋️

Working live and responding to texts submitted by the audience, Junghyeok Park, Malva Askerup and Nu Zając will each approach the same format through their own methods, tools and visual languages. 🧩 Their practices move between systematic and intuitive, digital and analogue, from type design and editorial structures to scanning, collage, stamping and physical interventions.

While @nukiloom's practice approaches typography through the construction of typefaces and books, @malvaaskerup works across design and editing, exploring collective and feminist publishing practices through typography, image and material form. @jung_hyeok_ foregrounds hands-on processes, using tools such as stamps, paper and ink to explore repetition, transformation and the traces left behind through making.

By giving the floor to recent graduates, Typographic Nights offers a space to test ideas freely, while inviting the audience into the often unseen processes behind graphic design.

38 feels like the best decision I ever made.

Choosing TypeMedia, going deeper into craft after nearly two decades of design work, and being surrounded by the most generous classmates and teachers every single day. Today I’m just deeply, quietly grateful. For The Hague, for this program, for the people who make this weird, beautiful chapter feel like home. 🎂✨

Image & Philosophy Exhibition
Class 3A of the Graphic Design department invites you to the opening of their exhibition on the 10th of October;
Roots is a result of collaboration between Image and Philosophy class. Together under the guidance of Katrin Korfmann and Maarten Cornel we created a series of spacial works on the theme of roots.
