Brian Gibson’s new exhibit at Recycled Propaganda is a reminder that no artist creates in a vacuum.

Patronage has been a recurring theme throughout the experimental musician, video artist and abstract impressionist painter’s career. Gibson traces his growth as an artist back to the people and places that gave him room to create and share his work, from Nancy Good’s now-defunct Core Contemporary gallery to Downtown-based interior design studio Inside Style to the Goldwell Open Air Museum in Beatty. That support has let him take risks in his art, and he’s grateful for every bit of it. Full story at the link in bio.
