Music Video of the Week: "Watch Me", Directed by @nwspk_ and @biig_piig The video for Biig Piig’s "Watch Me" plunges viewers into a shadowy, sensual world that exudes confidence and allure. Through a mix of striking imagery and fluid choreography, it captures the song’s hypnotic essence and underlines its sultry message: "I don’t wanna talk all night, I wanna dance with you." Shibari-inspired visuals take centre stage, evoking themes of control and freedom. These are juxtaposed with shots of bodybuilders and blooming floral landscapes, creating a captivating contrast between strength and fragility. The choreography enhances this duality, emphasising Biig Piig’s commanding presence as she moves through these surreal settings. Lighting plays a pivotal role in shaping the mood, transitioning between dimly lit, intimate close-ups and expansive, dreamlike landscapes. This interplay of light and shadow mirrors the layered emotions of the track, drawing viewers deeper into its magnetic world. What makes "Watch Me" truly stand out is its unapologetic celebration of individuality and sensuality. Music Video of the Month: "Lean On Me" by @poppyajudha, directed by the duo known as @nwspk_ The video captures the theme of mutual support and empathy, embodying the essence of the lyrics, “Lean on me, I’ll lean on you.” It’s a powerful portrayal of supporting one another. Poppy Ajudha appears alongside a group of dancers whose movements are choreographed to symbolise the act of relying on each other. At one point, the dancers lift Poppy into the air, a striking representation of how people can uplift each other during challenging times. Cinematographer @samhhooperdop adds depth with a variety of wide shots, overhead perspectives, and close-ups to create dynamic visuals. A bold red colour palette unifies the scenes, with all the dancers dressed in red attire. In this context, the colour red serves as a symbol of strength, warmth, and connection. "Lean On Me" thoughtfully reminds us of the importance of supporting one another. CREDITS Director: @nwspk_ DOP: @samhhooperdop Exec Producer: @kir.m_ Exec Producer: @moremahmoud Production Company: @compulsoryview Music Rep: @leethalreppin Commissioner: @emilyannsonnet Producer: @ana.stasia.liasi Production Manager: @ellagriffith123 Production Assistant: @cosmarinese 1st AD: @always_ak 2nd AD: @issyhumphreyss 1st AC: @tom_clapson 2nd AC: @zezegule Gaffer: @almagill Spark: @caseygrosso Spark: @joelbreakwell Jib Operator: @jibcrew_uk Jib Tech: @akin.cti Production Designer: @luciabarsegian Assistant Art Director: @remakahsay Art Assistant: @stringersets Art Assistant: @pascaleeliza Editor: @glntrvs Colourist: @colourbymegwan @electric_colour Choreographer: @kashpowell Dancer: @aimeeasiarose Dancer: @maizytheze Dancer: @shaniceivyburton Dancer: @dru_lewisedre Dancer: @whereisfreddy_ Dancer: @knsworld Cast Styling: @marko_vrbos Cast Styling Assistant: @haroun_yamou Artist Stylist: @leahabbott_ Artist MUA: @kareemjarchemakeup MU Assistant: @makeupbybeezie_ Hair Stylist: kieronjustinhair If you're looking for a chance to have your work featured, head over to our website (link in bio) to learn more.
