🌍🎧 WHEN IT GETS DARK, THE CREATIVITY GETS LOUDER. 🔥

Nytesia P. Ross, I heard the vocals and had to experiment with a different vibe. So I flipped them over J. Cole's No Role Modelz and let the creativity do its thing. 🎙️🎶

This is what happens when you hear potential in someone's artistry and decide to show it love through your own craft.

Much respect to the original artist. This one's for the love of music! 🫡❤️

PASSION BECAME MY LIFESTYLE. 🎧🔥

Nobody owes me anything. I just work, stay focused, and keep perfecting my craft.

It's more than music. It's passion, discipline, and a way of life.

They say
A hard head
Makes a soft ass
And
Soft boundaries
Make a guarded heart
Plywood on windows
Cause live don’t live here
Anymore
Than revisiting
That second house off of Edmore & Rex
Strangers, now callin my house
A home
It really ain’t been the same since
And I’ll never truly know
How many times
Have I been that stranger
In someone else’s memories
So please
Take off your shoes
Before entering
-
Like
Flowers for cowards
The price paid
For the bail
Is the soul
Or your weight in
Salt
That scared boy
In the backseat of a
Brown Bronco
Is now housed
In a man who
Is still scared
I sometimes think of the words of
My father
“Your an adult
You ain’t gotta be afraid no mo”
The memory
A mantra
Adorned daily
And repeated
Until believed
-
The window seat
For those with long legs
Expansive sights that keep
The body cramped
As if all beautiful experiences
Come with some sort of price
Magic after all
Demands respect
We must pay the toll
Maybe not equal and opposite
But the scales will even eventually
Or at least I hope so
To see some balance
And feel it on my skin
( breath )
A weight lifted
Wanting to give a heart
But not sure how much
There is left to give
Perhaps a warm hand
On my temple or
Grass between toes
Is the key
A whisper in the wind
The songs of birds that say
Spring is here again
A cold heart
Is only a seasonal event
Annual blooms
Bursting thru frosted soil
Into suns light
-
It was a hunger, a yearning of sorts
That I couldn’t exactly place
But I knew it well, a calling
To a land, a space that was a garden
A palace in my heart asking me
Only to remember the dreams I’ve tried to forget
The fear and uncertainty seemed so much more powerful
But most lies
Are sweater than
Kool Aid in Julys heat
The glitter
Of fools gold

A great DJ does more than play music we read the room, shift the energy and create moments people never forget. Sometimes we’re healing people without even realizing it.
