Starting this year, large publicly listed companies in New Zealand need to publicly report their climate risk, and similar rules are on the way in the United Kingdom, European Union, Singapore, Australia and other countries. But what does this mean for smaller businesses and exporters – and is climate reporting an added hassle or a growth opportunity?

Join our #Sustainability team to explore what New Zealand’s mandatory climate-related disclosure laws mean for businesses large and small, how they compare to what’s happening overseas, and the business and export case for voluntary climate reporting.

You’ll hear from Dr Amelia Sharman of XRB, an expert heavily involved in New Zealand’s climate-related disclosure laws, Dr Peter Longdill from Sanford and Rachel Depree from Zespri – two of New Zealand’s largest export businesses, with significant experience in climate reporting across their supplier relationships in New Zealand and with customers and partners in international markets.
