Happy people, vinyl, and good vibes. Beat Excavation brought together not just DJs, but music lovers from all walks of life on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in the Twin Cities. Already looking forward to the 3rd edition. Special shoutout to @o_dsounds and everyone who participated, hauled in record crates, shared music, stories, and energy, and helped make the day what it was. FOR THE RECORD! With great excitement, Beat Excavation welcomes visual artist, DJ, educator and organizer, Mr. Neighborhood. He will be joining us as a featured DJ. Deeply connected to the Twin Cities, Chicago and Korea as a musician and youth advocate, Mr. Neighborhood brings a plethora of experiences and a belief in supporting systems that bring people together. On the 1s and 2s, he does that and then some. Mr. Neighborhood continues to create and release music and can be seen spinning 12-inch LPs or 45s in town at your favorite cocktail and wine bar. Recently, he expressed to the good folks of Beat Excavation, “I’m definitely going to play Michael McDonald and Evelyn “Champagne” King.” Come through and peep Mr. Neighborhood’s set; he’s got something fun, fresh and funky for everybody! 📅 August 30th 📍 @zomahouse Additional Selections by: DJ Todda @djtodda TaliaKnight @taliaknight I Self Devine @iselfdevine D.A. FOR THE LOVE! The good folks of Beat Excavation are excited to announce that @taliaknight will be a featured DJ at Beat Excavation. TaliaKnight is a beatmaker, DJ, graphic designer and illustrator from Chile. Going back and forth between Chile and Minneapolis throughout her life, she has shared her Latin American culture through music around the Twin Cities. You can catch her on the radio every Thursday on KRSM 5-7pm on her show “Beats, Sleep, Repeat.”  Earlier this week, TaliaKnight expressed “For the event I’m planning on bringing my favorite records honestly, which include a lot of Quincy Jones!”  Come to ZOMA House and vibe to the selections of TaliaKnight; you don’t wanna miss it! 📅 August 30th 📍 @zomahouse Additional Selections by: DJ Todda @djtodda Mr. Neighborhood @mischark I Self Devine @iselfdevine D.A.
