Antes de qualquer conteúdo, existiu um sonho.

Há exatamente um ano eu entrava pela primeira vez no Bunker da Oakley, durante a celebração dos 50 anos da marca. Um lugar que, quando eu era adolescente, parecia inalcançável. Um espaço que eu só conhecia por fotos, catálogos e histórias.

Naquele momento, deixei de ser apenas o garoto fascinado pelos produtos da Oakley para viver algo que nunca imaginei: estar dentro da história da marca que moldou grande parte da minha trajetória.

Mais do que conhecer o Bunker, foi a confirmação de que anos de dedicação, estudo, coleção e criação de conteúdo realmente valeram a pena.

Às vezes, a gente olha para um sonho tão distante que ele parece impossível. Mas um ano depois, continuo acreditando na mesma coisa: quando existe paixão de verdade, o trabalho deixa de ser apenas trabalho e passa a abrir portas que antes pareciam não existir.

Esse dia vai continuar sendo um dos capítulos mais marcantes da minha história. E, olhando para trás, só consigo pensar em uma coisa: aquele adolescente jamais imaginaria que um dia estaria ali.

New Over The Top @oakley_us inspired canvas painting! Based off the most radical and alien shaped sunglasses ever created, imagined by the genius @jimjannard & designed by @peteryeedesign 👽🏴‍☠️🎨🌀✨ This graphic is what comes on the box of the sunglasses and is one of my favorites!

Uma coleção começa a fazer sentido de verdade quando se trata de história — e não apenas de produto.

Ter tudo do mais caro, tudo do mais raro, é inegavelmente algo que agrega muito. Mas acredito que, quando existe uma história ou um acontecimento importante por trás de uma peça, a relevância vai para outro nível.

Todas essas peças recebi de uma pessoa que conheci há pouco tempo — pela internet mesmo. Mas foi na minha ida à Califórnia que o conheci pessoalmente e descobri mais um alucinado pela marca.

@oakleyprivatecollection me recebeu, me mostrou cada peça da sua coleção e contou como conquistou cada uma delas. Tinha item que ele só manuseava com luva, de tão raro e importante — e tudo isso com uma alegria contagiante.

Pra completar essa experiência, ele ainda me presenteou com os itens desse post: desde camisetas exclusivas até o símbolo mais importante do universo dos óculos esportivos — uma representação do protótipo do Oakley Eyeshade, vinda diretamente de dentro do Bunker da Oakley.

Essa viagem foi uma das maiores experiências que a vida poderia ter me proporcionado. Cada momento e cada lembrança ficarão guardados com o maior carinho do mundo.

Obrigado, @oakleyprivatecollection e a toda sua família pela recepção. Mesmo que rápida, foi muito importante pra mim. Muito obrigado por tudo!

Oakley Clear SCAR

Oakley Scar was first released in 2001. This model was the first to combine mixed materials, featuring a high-wrap silhouette and a signature metal hinge mechanism.

Scar had a three-year run and was discontinued in 2004. It remains a favorite among collectors and is highly sought after. In 2002, Pierce Brosnan wore a special Scar for the James Bond film Die Another Day.

On March 26, Oakley released the MUZM limited edition of this iconic model, now equipped with new Prizm Black lenses. The frame was finished in polished black, and it looks fantastic. We saw some stunning colors like electric blue, Midnight, Persimmon, Platinum, FMJ, and more in the past. Let's wait to see what they are cooking and hope for another colorway.

So in 2014 I did this thing at this place for this guy, it was the "One and Only" time my collection has been displayed and made available for the world to see. It was a huge undertaking to move everything from my personal museum to set up for the show, thanks to the approximately 10 people that assisted that day in both setting up and tearing down (you know who you are🙏). Thanks also to @oakleyreview who did the photo and video documentation you are seeing here, Dann you are the man!

Fun fact - I had never seen my entire collection displayed at one time and this was the goal that day, we ran out of time and room to completely display everything so about 20% sat under tables still in boxes. My quest to display my entire collection continues to this day, maybe and I mean MAYBE before my collecting career comes to an end (33 years and counting) I'll show that to everyone? If this post gets lots of likes I'll know there is interest... So HIT that ❤️ and let's see what the future holds!
