When @davenhage added the question “What can we offer to disturb the mainstream presentation of the survivalist mentality: shifting from “Alone” and “Naked and Afraid” to “Together, Fly and Holding Shit Down”? to our guiding principles for ATTUNE, i giggled and then dropped into the center of that incredible resonance: that survival requires culture, memory-keeping, feeding each other, clothing each other, keeping each other warm, and especially being able to rely on one another. It’s impossible to survive alone.

Our prayer for ATTUNE is to follow Joanna Macy’s prayer for “rough weather networks” emphasizing that survival requires presence and relationship with the human and more-than-human world — that disaster preparedness requires hospitality. Applications due April 21st (@weaving_earth).

a year ago i began a journey - ⚘ attune ⚘ which has altered me in ways that will ripple out for the rest of my life! a nine month deep dive with a cohort of 36 stellar humans and a badass roster of facilitators / teachers. what a gift. these clips are from session one which took place on kashia pomo territory last october.

i feel grateful for the ways i’ve stayed with the practice and for all the times i’ve faltered. gratitude for the humanness of learning together, of returning to the body, earth, and wildness anew. we attune not to solve but to listen. to feel life’s subtle pulse beneath the noise. in birds, trees, and stillness, i remember i am woven into the whole. i re-enter this interrelationship daily, finding it beneath the dissonance, letting it shape me.
thank you all for sensing, trusting, and letting faith in the collective guide you.

under the guidance of jiordi and kashia pomo fire-keepers, i humbly participated in and witnessed the sacred death work of a prescribed burn—the fire laughing crying and cackling like an ancestor, releasing and renewing the forest. protection through ancient rhythms of fire.

Full moon in Pisces got me in my feels. The time we’re living is heart wrenching. Every day I’m grateful for the people I’m connected to that make life worth living, that give me hope, that give me purpose. Being in the mountains for me is another place I can go to that feels like home, a cradle that silences the noise and holds space to simply be. May all be well, safe, kind to one another, and rest on this full moon. 🌕
