I don’t want to simply tell you why fashion needs to become more sustainable. I want to show you.

We rarely see what happens after we are finished with our clothes. But nothing we buy simply disappears. Everything we produce, consume and discard goes somewhere and sometimes, another living being pays the price.

It is easy to think: “It is only one blouse.” “I can’t wear that dress again people have already seen me in it.” “I need to keep up with the latest trend.” But when millions of us think this way, “just one more” becomes an enormous environmental consequence.

This is not about giving up fashion. It is about changing our relationship with it. Buy less. Choose carefully. Rewear proudly. Repair what you love. And when you no longer want something, make sure it is responsibly rehomed, reused or recycled.

At Sustainably U, this is why we create slowly, offer a two-year repair warranty and take our clothes back. Because our responsibility should not end at the point of sale.

Fashion should never cost the Earth or the lives that share it with us.

Made. Worn. Repaired. Reborn.

Today at Cape Cross we found this pup wearing a sheet of really rigid plastic like a collar. It was nearly cutting into his skin, and would have started doing so soon. It was most likely used to cover a 6 pack of single use water bottles. 🦭🦭🦭
