Meet Geraldine Killeen.

Some people just love to race.

Today Geraldine flew in from Ireland for DEKA FIT East Midlands today, somewhere in the middle of a whirlwind week that’s taken her from Greece to Ireland to Derby, and through three competitions in seven days.

With two and a half hours’ sleep behind her, our adaptive athlete stepped onto the floor and gave it everything.

And somehow, amongst all of that, found another gear and a new PB.

But you wouldn’t know how big the week had been from the smile on her face.

That’s the bit we love. Showing up because you love what you do. Finding out there’s still more in you. And having an absolutely brilliant time doing it.

Geraldine, you were a joy to have on our floor today.

3rd in the world. Let that sink in. 🌍🥉

Ger stepped onto the HYROX World Championship stage and showed exactly what she's made of, and a huge part of that journey was built right here at UN1T Stillorgan.

The early mornings. The hard sessions. The belief when it felt impossible.

This is what it's all for. Congratulations Ger. we couldn't be prouder. 💛

HYROX World Championships 🇸🇪

🥈 2nd in the World 🥈

What an experience!

I qualified for this off the time I did in Dublin last November and, to be honest, that’s probably where most of my HYROX fitness stayed too 😂

Since the cycling season started I haven’t really trained HYROX at all, so I was relying heavily on the bike legs to get me through. Thankfully they did… for the most part 😅

The sled, however, was not my friend 🤢 and my arms are absolutely destroyed today 🐓

Also, can we take a moment to appreciate just how ridiculous those cycling tan lines are? 🌞🚴‍♂️😂

It was incredible to compete on the world stage in a sport other than cycling and I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it.

A huge congratulations to all the adaptive athletes who competed. The standard was incredible and every one of you should be proud 👏

For now, it’s back to what I know best 🚴‍♂️

Time Trial National Championships on Thursday and plenty more bike racing to come.

HYROX over and out… see you again in the off-season 🏋️‍♀️🔥

Hyrox World Champs Stockholm 2026 🇸🇪

AG 34th in the 🌍

Thee best weekend with the best people! 🥲🫶

Not the race I wanted to finish such an amazing first season at pro level with. I knew by the second run it wasn’t going to go the way I wanted. I was literally broken out there 💦🫠
However on reflection and chatting to the health pro’s I’m so lucky to have in my life.. if anything.. it’s confirmation that there is no doubt I need this surgery😂 the aftermath wasn’t pretty either 😭

I know I’ll look back on this season and realise how much strength I’ve built both physically and mentally. I just hope I’ll be back soon to really show what I’m made of, hopefully pain and leak free 🥲

Thank you to everyone who’s supported me so much this season, it’s taken an army to get me here and hold me together 😂You honestly don’t know how much it means to me!
