Last weekend, I had the pleasure of joining my team at @herznycoffee for a day of brewing great coffee and introducing our new specialty coffee packaging to the Hungarian coffee community at @kavenapja
-
But it was about much more than coffee and packaging. It was about reconnecting with old friends, meeting new faces, and catching up with people I hadn’t seen in at least eight years.
-
I left Hungary in 2018, and starting over in a new country wasn’t easy. It taught me a lot, challenged me in ways I hadn’t expected, humbled me, and helped shape the person I am today. There’s still a lot to learn, and I’m grateful for that.

Coming back to the Hungarian coffee scene after all these years, even for just a day, brought back so many memories and gave me an incredible amount of positive energy. It’s hard to put into words, but it reminded me how much the people we meet along the way matter.

Now, I’m looking forward to this new chapter with HERZ, curious about what’s ahead and what I’ll learn along the way.

A big thank you to @herznycoffee for the support and the trust. I don’t take either for granted.

And yes, I’m really happy with our new packaging. I can’t wait to introduce it to the German coffee community soon, too.

Több mint 8 év után először veszek részt újra egy magyar kávés rendezvényen.
Rengeteg szép emlék jön elő, és már nagyon várom, hogy lássam a régi barátokat, és találkozzak újakkal is.
Különösen jó érzés, hogy a HERZ csapattal hazai pályán csinálhatom azt, amit igazán szeretek: kávét készíteni.
Hamarosan találkozunk a Kávé Napján Budapesten.

After more than 8 years, I’m finally attending a Hungarian coffee event again.
It brings back a lot of great memories, and I’m really looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
I’m especially happy to be back on home ground with the HERZ team, doing what I love most: making coffee.

Tot ce ai învățat despre pour over pornește de la gravitație. Torni, aștepți, speri că patul de cafea rămâne cuminte. Snap™ adaugă un instrument nou în mâna ta: o forță repetabilă, transmisă prin forma și unghiul percutorului, care se distribuie uniform prin patul de cafea în timpul extracției. Fiecare „snap" eliberează CO₂ și aerul blocat, îmbunătățește saturația și reașază patul — fără să amesteci și fără să rotești vasul.

Rezultatul nu e un truc de barista, ci ceva ce simți în ceașcă: bloom mai consistent, pat de cafea mai uniform, saturație egală a particulelor. Adică mai multă dulceață, mai multă claritate și mai mult echilibru, la aceeași cafea pe care o bei deja.

Pour over with the @oddlyspecific.coffee Snap 029. I've been using this dripper with 16 and 18 gram doses. Once I became familiar with the hand position to hold the dripper when snapping and pausing my @acaiacoffee Pearl, I am really enjoying the cups. This was my first cup of the @aviary.coffee ALINA MILAGROS AVIARY#029 | WASHED INCA GESHA. A very nice cup.

Snap Brewer from Oddly Specific

One of the most unique brewers out there, Oddly Specific added a Snap feature to the brew itself. This allows for level coffee grounds consistently each and every brew. This feature also helps in disturbing the brewing column mid-brew releasing trapped CO2 within the bed.
