What a week. Seeing my vision for @minaabouzahra work in Ibiza come to life felt incredible.

I work in this industry to give stories like Mina’s a platform.

Her work shows how contemporary design can become a powerful tool for preserving an ancient cultural craft while empowering the women who keep it alive. At its heart is the craft of weaving - but it is not only wool that is woven. The stories of women, heritage and Amazigh tradition are intricately woven into every tapestry and object.

By combining this crafts-woman-ship with her own contemporary design language, Mina gives visibility not only to the craft itself, but also to the women behind it. More importantly, she helps ensure they can sustain their livelihoods with independence and dignity.

After presenting her work at museums, galleries and palaces around the world, I am incredibly proud to bring her to ‘my island’. It feels only fitting that this feminine island, watched over by the goddess Tanit, has given her a flying start. From here, her work will travel to a special project in the Marina of Ibiza Town, before moving after the summer to a magical place in the heart of Ibiza’s campo. Stay tuned.
