POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A subtle and constant movement within a seemingly still image. A sentiment that I try to evoke in my works.

With this in mind, it felt quite natural to explore the idea of cinemagraphs, while simultaneously working on some sculptural pieces. Studio life has been an array of long warm summer nights and as a summer child, it is my absolute favourite time of the year. Although I tend to step back from social media while immersed in the creative process, I will try to share more impressions in the upcoming weeks. ☀️

Thoughts that are ever present in my mind and art:

Time. A journey within us that bridges the feeling of something familiar and the abstractness of the unknown. Something to hold onto and something to question. A constant sensation of flow.

What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter - a soothing, calming influence on the mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue.
