POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Sometimes the best experiences are sitting just the other side of fear. 💜

Today I went to Bedgebury, hired a bike and rode the trails — something I haven’t properly done for around 25 years.

They were technical. I used my brakes… a lot 😂
There were moments I was nervous, moments I questioned myself, but I didn’t let fear make the decision for me.

And something amazing happened…

The more I relaxed, the more confident I became.
The speed increased.
The fear turned into excitement.

By the end, despite the wind and pouring rain, I was absolutely buzzing and already thinking, when can I do that again?!

Then we finished the day at an @offgridsauna — sauna, cold shower, cold plunge… repeat three times. 🔥❄️

What a day.

A little reminder that sometimes we have to push beyond what feels familiar to discover what makes us feel truly alive.

Take the opportunity.
Try the thing that scares you a little.
Spend time with people who matter.
Make memories.

And most importantly…

Enjoy your life. You’re allowed to have fun living it. 💜

This weekend we hosted our first Recomposition Retreat. What begun as a murmur whilst listening to @sriprembaba , realising how much being outside-based had changed my life, I wished to run a simple retreat, where the practice of Yoga became a tool to open our eyes and hearts to the abundance that lies around and within us.

The land came alive with yogis waking at sunrise, to meditate with the dawn chorus, and move to the first warmth of the rising sun. We feasted on gigantic blackberries picked across valley walks, bathed in the chilly waters of an ancient spring, laid back to back with supportive oaks, and journeyed through the liminal Nidra lands to the sound of distant thunder.

It was a dream come true to finally work with @sara.earthchef having met at our first Yoga Teacher Training at @mysticalyogafarm Guatemala back in 2018. Sara made the most of our VERY rustic set up and created nourishing dishes themed around what’s growing a few miles down the road at @stonelynkorganics . Pushing all of our meals 10 acres up a hill in a wheelbarrow was a feat of endurance I’m not sure I briefed you on - so grateful for your enthusiasm and the time we got to spend together.

Throughout the weekend we were held in the cocoon of @bamboo.logy ‘s creations, part of the nomadic temple became both our Shala and dining room. Evenings warmed by the fire of the @offgridsauna were a real highlight. All the behind the scenes endless support in transforming spaces, last minute shops (I forgot we ate soup out of bowls!) and personal care - I am so grateful.

An additional thank you to my mama @joannaterryceramics for being the best hoarder, and always having bounties of bowls and pots for whenever I need them!

To the beautiful people who created this retreat, with heart felt conversation round the dinner table, vibrating sauna AUM’s, who embarked on cold showers, compost toilets, long grass (and all the creatures who call it home) thank you for your open minds, I am grateful for your trust in taking care of YOU this weekend.

And the greatest thank you to the land at Symbol Farm, for holding us with tenderness and strength (continued in comments)

What better way to start Virgo season than dropping off grid for a few hours of self care at @offgridsauna

Nestled in the most peaceful countryside with nothing but the sounds of nature surrounding you, this was the most blissful way to spend a Sunday morning.

Self practice is for the fire signs 🔥

I was talking to a student the other day who is currently doing her 200 hour teacher training and expressed irritation in her ability to self practice.

She goes to so many group and private classes, understands the postures, the intent, but when it comes to practicing by herself she feels often lost and then bored, or simply just practices what she ‘likes’ or is ‘good at.’

We talked about sequencing arcs and how having a basic structure in your head before you come to practice means that you have endless possibilities which don’t just include doing what you ‘like’ there is space for creativity in the moment, whilst knowing that your body will be prepared for any challenges you would like to give time to.

And the best part is - no one tells you what to do 😂

Thinking about running a masterclass on tips and tools to create a sustainable and exciting long term practice?
Then you can practice without me 🧚‍♂️

For the last 4 months my husband @bamboo.logy has been working on (designing, and building, completely from solar powered tools!!) this incredible @offgridsauna . Constructed from repurposed timber, bamboo, local green chestnut and some fallen branches from the mighty oaks we are blessed to live by.

I have been so lucky this last month to be able to enjoy this warm, dark, womb like space, it’s heat being a balm for the harsh winter. It’s enabled me to enjoy the early and dark evenings in a way I never would have. Alone in nature, showering under cool spring water. But now it’s time to share this magic experience.

Bookings for the Off Grid Sauna open NOW! @offgridsauna
