Art Basel Paris week: 5 (re)discoveries worth collecting.

Beyond the headline exhibitions, Paris art week is about looking closer, discovering new artists, falling more in love with the ones we already follow, and identifying where the most compelling collecting opportunities lie. Between Basel and satellite fairs, here are five (of many) still on our minds.

Suleman Aqeel Khilji (@suleman_khilji) First encountered at White Cube, and revisited with Standard Oslo at Art Basel Paris. Khilji’s paintings weave personal memories, fragments of Pakistani cultural history, and imagined worlds into richly layered compositions. I’m particularly drawn to how his work makes memory feel fluid.

Sarah Brahim (@sahrab) presented by Albion Jeune at OFFSCREEN. Working across performance, film, photography, and installation, Saudi-American artist Brahim explores memory, landscape, and belonging. A practice gaining well-deserved institutional attention, including a recent Pina Bausch Fellowship and the Curatorial Prize at Offscreen.

Kim Stolz (@kim__stolz) Presented by Yve Wang at Post-Fair. Based in Düsseldorf, Stolz approaches abstraction through an intricate accumulation of paint, color, and texture. What initially appears spontaneous reveals a carefully constructed pictorial and conceptual language, with surfaces that reward sustained looking.

Munehiro Yoshimura (@yoshimuramunehi)
Presented by Kayokoyuki at Post-Fair. Born in 1961, Yoshimura belongs to a generation of Japanese painters whose work is finding renewed visibility. His enigmatic paintings inhabit a space between the real and the imagined, revealing a singular visual universe developed over decades.

Evelyn Taocheng Wang Presented by Antenna Space at Art Basel. Born in China and based in Rotterdam, Wang has developed an unmistakably individual language that brings autobiography, cultural displacement, and art-historical references into unexpected dialogue. Recipient of the 2025 Wolfgang Hahn Prize, with exhibitions at Museum Ludwig and Goldsmiths CCA, her growing institutional presence makes this a particularly interesting moment for collecting.

I’ve seen a lot of art but this Salon is always one of the events that keeps me coming back to Paris. @offscreen_paris founded by @julienfrydman presents boundary pushing image-based practices in a raw concrete setting, this year again in the Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière, a 17th century structure that was once used as a female mental asylum. Excellent curation of works, thoughtfully mounted, and very much living art that stands out during Paris Art Week.
