Camping under the Full Harvest moon

Eating great food, home made jam tapas, foraging, tree swings, sauna sessions, campfire coffee, Welsh folk stories by the fire, meeting new people, and general wild woodland shenanigans with me old mate @katielivesalittle

Thank you Jack for capturing the cutest pics of me and Katie B @jbproductions_uk

As an 80s baby & 90s child I love everything about @offthebeatenpot new monthly subscription Field Galley Dispatches.
We've all embraced modern technology (to a point), the instant gratification from buy-it-nows, immediate delivery to our digital inboxes, everything available for us at the touch of a button but some of us still long for physical media.
So huge thanks are due to Thom for creating this & helping to scratch that itch! Every part of this is a tactile delight! Slicing open an actual envelope, dumping out the packet & unwinding the string closure, rifling through the included cards...

@offthebeatenpot have done it again! The #fieldgalleydispatches001 are fantastic recipe cards. The attention to detail provided in the packaging all the way through to the recipes themselves is why I love this company so much

Does life get any better than this?

We are probably the wrong people to ask, because hell no - this is perfection ✨️

Camping wild in 14 acres of our own woodland, with 60 kindred folk, foraging for our dinner before chatting late into the evening.

Listening to a Welsh storyteller spin ancient tales around the campfire, making new friends sat in the grass on a warm September day.

Waking in the misty air beneath the trees, before stirring last night's embers, making a brew for the group as they join you by the fire.

Quiet moments spent alone in the woods or conversations in the sauna, games spent laughing or smiling as you see children being children, with not a screen in sight.

No, we don't think life does get any better then this 🏕

Fancy joining our last community campout this weekend?

For free! 💥

The very lovely Jane cannot make it & has kindly gifted her ticket to us to gift to you ✨️

Feast Fire & Forage is our final & probably our favourite community camp of the year in the stunning Secret Valley, in Monmouthshire. We take over an ancient woodland, spend the day foraging for the food that Thom later cooks over the fire 🔥

50 kindred spirits hang around in the trees, soak in the heat in our very own Portasauna, connect around a campfire & fall asleep under the stars.

Ooh and it is forecast to be basically summer this weekend.

If you can make it this weekend, camping with us all in Monmouthshire, then simply comment 'count me in' below 👇

We will pick a random winner live on stories tomorrow bt midday & send you all the details to come along 🏕

See one of you very soon!

Come and join us where Campouts began.

Back in 2024, we had an idea.

We wanted to create something that brought the CampWild community together properly. Not online. Not through a screen. Just a bunch of people heading into the woods for a weekend, sharing food, sitting around a fire and getting to know each other.

So we took a punt, invited a handful of members to join us in a little woodland in Wales and hoped for the best.

What unfolded that weekend blew us away!

People who’d never met before were sat round the fire together by Saturday night like they’d known each other for years. The kids basically vanished into the woods. We cooked, ate, drank, talked, stayed up too late and generally had a bloody lovely time.

That was the start of Campouts.

Since then we’ve taken them all over the place, but on 26-27 September we’re heading back to that same little woodland for our last one of 2026.

There’ll be foraging, a big autumn cook-up, some nature crafts, plenty of time round the fire, a tipple or two, stories once it gets dark and, if all goes to plan, coffee, toast off the fire and homemade jam the next morning.

Really, it’s just an excuse to get a load of good people together in the woods for a weekend.

Which is sort of where this whole thing started.

Come and join us.

Tickets are in the link in bio.

🌿 camp impressions 🌿

good morning 😊

since a few days i have the pleasure to test the new "Ranger" knife, a classy bushcraft knife from @zapas_knives 🇵🇱

the beautiful "Ranger" knife is made with X50CrMoV15 Steel, 57 up to 59 HRC.

what i most like, is the noble and decent ash wood handle 🤎🤩 (i love it!) and the overall length of the Ranger is 235mm, the blade itself has a length of 115mm.
Blade thickness 3mm.
perfect for my bigger hands 😉🫵

furthermore a nice detail, the sleek black leather sheath with belt hanger. 🤠👍

thank you @zapas_knives for this timeless beauty! 🙌

cheers & stay wild 🍁
