👑🌿 Week 4. More than a hike—a growing brotherhood.

This week, KHIN: Kings Heal In Nature gathered at Taylor Creek Park Trail for another intentional walk rooted in connection, healing, and community.

With every trail we explore, we're reminded that nature has a unique way of slowing us down, opening our hearts, and making space for conversations that often go unspoken.

One participant shared:

"I learned that being in nature allowed me to heal, but also appreciate the land of our Indigenous brethren."

Another reflected on the facilitation:

"It's planned out to feel intimate so everyone can have the space and bravery to talk about heavy issues."

Those words affirm exactly why KHIN exists.

We believe healing happens when men have spaces where they can be fully seen, deeply heard, and supported without judgment. We also recognize that every step we take is on lands that have long been stewarded by Indigenous Peoples, and we're grateful for the opportunity to gather, reflect, and heal in these natural spaces with respect and appreciation.

To every King who continues to walk this journey with us—thank you! Your courage, presence, and willingness to show up for yourself and one another are shaping something much bigger than a weekly hike.

it’s been affirming as f*** watching the world slowly discover that Accra is LIT (how many of you thirsty hoes planning to come next December?) but less so to see visitors and diaspora keep their lips zipped about Ghana’s terrifying proposed criminalisation of queer people and their allies. from our day one (running round barefoot in my grandma’s compound) ghana has been such a magical, nourishing place for me - so it’s heartbreaking to see stupidity & hate endanger its LGBTQ+ citizens & family. wherever & whoever you are when you read this, educate yourself about the persecution queer ghanaians face & take this as a sign to donate, or make noise, or do anything. no-one is free until we all are.

☀️We’re ready to help guide you to more clarity and we are proud of our 2020-2021 Milestones.

☀️Rooftop Love: As we shifted to outdoor classes, at a time of uncertainty and isolation, 350 of you good people attended our rooftop yoga classes, in full force, since Jan 2020.

☀️Teacher Training: 25 of you amazing yogis graduated from our YTT programs in this life-altering year during the pandemic.

☀️Wellness: You practised individually, and in small groups, through our private yoga program, and also explored various healing techniques with us, which included yoga therapy, pranic healing and meditation.

Did a thing I’ve always wanted to do 🤍

A personal passion I’ve kinda laughed about in the past (but secretly allowed myself to be a bit wishful and optimistic beneath the laughs) when people would say “I see you building this as a business” as I played chemist and brew-her in my kitchen and even before that when I’d watch my Industrial Chemist momma put her skills to use and make things. Mixing this and whipping that.

Aku is what I said I was going to name my first daughter.
But I guess in some way, @akuorganics is my first daughter (@fizzykpictures issa boy).
It means wealth.
And when the human daughter comes along, she’ll blend right in with the name too.

This company has been almost a year in the making. With formulating, prototyping, ingredient sourcing, building, planning, government regulatory tests, inspections, paperwork, and…approvals! 💃🏾💃🏾🙏🏿

I’m grateful for the journey.
I’m grateful for the one ahead too.
