Here’s how much it costs to stay at Ofland Escalante.

It’s very dog friendly. There’s a pool onsite. They have a food truck that serves breakfast and dinner every day except Tuesdays, and WiFi if you need it.

But my honest favorite was the drive in movie. They show a different movie every night, and you’re watching it from actual vintage cars at their onsite drive in

Escalante, Utah is one of Southern Utah’s most underrated gems—and it should definitely be on your adventure list. 🏜️✨

Tucked along Scenic Byway 12, this tiny town is packed with epic hikes, incredible food, and the coolest place to stay @oflandhotels If you’re exploring Utah, don’t skip Escalante!

Here’s how we spent our getaway:

🥾 HIKE:
• Lower Calf Creek Falls – iconic waterfall hike through a stunning red rock canyon
• Escalante River Trail – a peaceful walk with plenty of splash zones
• 100 Hands Pictograph Trail – short, easy, and full of ancient rock art
• Devil’s Garden – whimsical hoodoos and arches just a short walk from the road

🍽️ EAT:
• Kiva Koffeehouse – coffee with unreal canyon views
• Hell’s Backbone Grill – a dining experience you’ll never forget
• Food truck night @oflandhotels – casual, delicious, and fun
• Meal kits from the General Store – perfect for cozy nights in @oflandhotels

Unforgettable memories with @danielleknx at @oflandhotels ⛺️🪵🍃🥾

Some of the highlights included:

🌅 the sunsets!!
🎥 the drive-in movie! show up and choose your own retro car to enjoy the film in! We watched Princess Bride
📚 the adorable free library downtown, so excited I found a murder mystery hehe
🥾 Lower Calf Creek Falls Trail, this hike was ~6 miles total, with an incredible waterfall at the end!
🍕Escalante Outfitters, the pizza was PHENOMENAL!

Let’s talk about rest days. Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, it’s important to remember that our dogs need downtime too. Zayn and I have discovered the beauty of Sundays as our designated rest days. Watching him peacefully snooze and recharge reminds me of the importance of letting go and simply being. It’s okay to slow down, take it easy, and give our four-legged companions the gift of relaxation.

As someone who naturally gravitates to living an active lifestyle, it was a given that Zayn would be included in so much I do. And this app can give the impression that if you’re not out climbing mountains, doing all the dog sports, visiting every outdoor event, that we are somehow not serving our dogs. Each of those have their place and importance in providing a happy and healthy life for our dogs. So this is a reminder that amongst all that, we all need down days to rest, relax and recharge.

Here’s to honoring their needs and finding harmony in the blissful art of doing nothing.
