Huge gratitude to @houseofbooksandfriends for hosting our Manchester launch on Thurs night and for messaging us:
“Thank you for a wonderful event. We had an email from a customer this morning saying how much she and her friend enjoyed it. She said: ‘The ladies were so interesting and funny, we arrived a little low and departed a whole lot better!’
Which absolutely warms the cockles of our hardened hearts. The audience was a dream - a mix of friends and strangers we’d want to become friends, who after our readings and Q&A with the divine @oftenblonde asked so many fascinating questions about topics including the rise in misogny, modern-day relatiionships and singledom, menopause, women’s mental health and so much more that we wanted the conversation to go on all night. Especially in such a cosy, welcoming, historic venue and a bookshop sharing our ethos of bringing people together through its ‘chatty tables’, book clubs, events and so on.
This being us, a posse of us spilled into the nearest margarita den and the night finally concluded many, many hours later inhaling make-up tips from a glorious drag queen on Canal Street. Such is Manchester, such are we. Thank you to all who came and joined in and, as always, to all the team at @bedfordsq.publishers 🙏🏻 💪🏻

As we head down to London for a couple of launch events, here’s a reminder we also have a Manchester event at the wonderful @houseofbooksandfriends next Thursday - and there are a handful of tickets left (you can buy one with or without a book, which we can sign if you like). There’ll be a couple of sneaky tasters from the book and a Q&A about midlife and travel with the epic Emilie Powles. Please come and join us if you can 📕 🌍 and share with likeminded friends. 🙏🏻

Shoutout to the northerly continent — the work wife @traceydangerjourno_comedian and I will be at Manchester’s brilliant @houseofbooksandfriends on the launch date of our book Wayward Women, 29th Jan, doing readings, a Q&A with the epic @oftenblonde and signings. It’s a beautiful and fairly bijou venue so get your tickets (includes copy of book) now.

TRUE GRIT & POWERFUL WOMEN LEADERS IN BIZ! 🙌🏽✨

Big shout out to @gemma_krysko from @queens.oftomorrow & @parisarmani_ from @sohohouse for hosting an inspiring event with Bridget Lea, VP @inc_snap and Caroline Iorns VP @paramountpics at @freightislandmcr t

Their stories left us emotional and motivated, showing how women from Manchester are creative, humble, and fierce! 💫

As sisters starting our own business, it’s been all us. The branding, (who thought printing our slogan on a suit jacket would create this much hype?) from the website build, photoshoots in Northern Quarter and in just 3 months, we’re amazed by what we’ve achieved.

No plan B here, we’re ALL IN!

One piece of advice that stood out:

👉🏽 Bridget: “Don’t compare yourself to others. Embrace the moments. You’re growing.”

👉🏽 Caroline: “Take the risks and give it your best shot. You’re doing alright, love.”

We’ll carry this with us as we keep building, growing &
Shouting from the roof tops

“LIVE LOUD, CREATE LOUDER.” 🎤🔥

And we can’t forget the incredible women we met either-
