NOW AVAILABLE- One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This Volume II: A Benefit For the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. This compilation features tracks from 36 artists, all in the name of supporting children suffering from lack of food, shelter, and medical care. My eternal thanks to everyone who contributed music. The response I got from all of the artists, even those who were currently unable to submit a song, was more generous and kind than I could have imagined. In dark times like these, that’s worth a lot. Special thanks to @itsalexorwhatever from @design.or.whatever and @gobacktocalifornia.show for the stellar album art, and to @yance_man from @plumcreekrecordstx for help with the upcoming tape release! Solidarity with the people of Palestine, and anyone facing oppression around the world 🇵🇸 ✌️🍉

NEW: @ohboland Support: @robbiestickland 🗓️ 10th January 2026 Oh Boland is the scum-pop song writing of Niall Murphy. Oh Boland came up through the rural bar scene of the Irish west coast threading effervescent power pop through a mess of blown out guitars and flying nun jangle. The latest LP, Western Leisure (out now on Madrid’s Meritorio Records) draws from a recent past in the rural Galway town of Tuam and the present in Dublin city, a montage of oblique images and characters. Western Leisure traces a landscape of balding florists under ceiling fans (Grass Walls), a guilt-wracked panel beater soothsaying future accidents in his steelwork (Order Of Malta), and the parasitic jukebox-conman who drowns in his children’s paddling pool (A Power Of Wides). Somewhere between sad, hysterical, and nonsensical, these characters cross paths with more tactile memories of depression and loss. The half-cocked ballads of the west of Ireland run alongside observations of place in Dublin amid a housing crisis, and the exploitation of people’s right to have place in their lives by the parasitic landlord class (Western Leisure Pt.2). The songs were written in 2021 in the vacuum of successive lockdowns, leaning heavily into spontaneity and the possibilities of overdubbed home recording over writing for a band. The material marks a significant development in the band’s sound with the typical garage punk confection tempered by Kevin Ayers and the Whole World weirdness (Cult Of A Western Rail Corridor), free jazz skronk (Western Leisure Pt 2), faux Steely Dan mockery (A Parting Thing) and loping Bakersfield Country (Western Leisure). Still, Murphy hasn’t lost any joy for straight ahead rock n roll with Grass Walls, Order Of Malta and Power Of Wides keeping things centred on The Clean, meets Protex, meets Replacements concoction that’s been his main squeeze from the start. Foggy Notions Presents PROTOMARTYR Whelan’s Dublin Fri 14th & Sat 15th November 2025 + special guests Oh Boland (Nov 14th) & I Dreamed I Dream (Nov 15th) Foggy Notions presents PROTOMARTYR celebrating 10 years of the seminal album The Agent Intellect live at Whelan’s on Friday 14th & Saturday 15th November. LIMITED TICKETS www.foggynotions.ie www.ticketmaster.ie www.whelanslive.com PROTOMARTYR’S THE AGENT INTELLECT TURNS 10 “Protomartyr are heavy, man.” -Spin “The Agent Intellect is a huge step both upward and inward. Like some fresh incarnation of Pere Ubu in its ‘70s prime, the band subverts rock while rocking out, infusing angularity with an industrialized blur of motion” -NPR “A testament to perseverance, with world-weary humor and introspection providing flashes of clarity” -Rolling Stone “Recalling the cavernous tones of the Birthday Party, Joy Division, Public Image Ltd. and other beaten-and-broken defeatists, the band’s fiery approach suggests that losing at life can pay dividends in the art department.” -LA Times “An album of spindly bass, needling guitar and economical drums. And yet, with Protomartyr’s inventive ensemble flare, it sounds like much more.” -Paste “Protomartyr’s third studio album is all the things you’d expect it to be from a band of their geography (Detroit) and countenance (stone-faced): chilling, sobering, frightening. It’s also funny, catchy, invigorating, ultimately human.” - Spin “Writing [with] an almost Joycean grasp of detail and narrative.” -Pitchfork “Rather than back down from the precipice of decline and confusion, Protomartyr has reported the situation as they see it in The Agent Intellect, an uncomfortable, honest and ultimately excellent record.” -Dusted “Catchy, moody, post-punk fun” -The Needle Drop FEATURED ON COUNTLESS BEST OF 2015 LISTS, INCLUDING: The A.V. Club, The Advocate, Aquarium Drunkard, Buzzfeed, Le Canal Auditif, Chicago Tribune, Consequence of Sound, Detroit Metro Times, Dusted, Impose, Los Angeles Times, NPR Music, NY Observer, Paste, Pitchfork, PopMatters, Rolling Stone, SPIN, Washington Post.
