Faces of the Wild. Part 1

A series of expressive animal portraits created using mixed media on paper. The works combine various techniques and tools, including graphite pencils, ink, markers, watercolor pencils, and a black gel pen. Each sketch captures the unique character and emotion of the animal, blending realism with artistic interpretation. This is Part 1 of an ongoing exploration of the untamed spirit and silent presence of the wild.

My countryside and its villages.

A beating heart on which so much life depends on.

As in any other nation, this is considered the real Ukraine. My true face can be seen here.

Life is calm here. At least it can be.

20% of my countryside with the villages, towns and cities it contains are occupied by the enemy. The Ukrainian language is being erased on my lands once again. People who stand up to the occupiers are either tortured, kidnapped or killed.

What is this if not ethnic cleansing? What did my people do to deserve such cruelty? Why does the rest of the world sit back and allow this to happen?

The enemy has done this for centuries - how else do you think their swamp became so big?

Thanks to my defenders, most of the country can continue with their lives in a relatively normal manner - whatever normal means now. It is also thanks to my defenders that these swamp dwellers haven't reached your land in the rest of Europe.

Arm Ukraine with the tools for victory, before it's your sons and your daughters turn to defend their very existence.
