POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Sunday, May 11th. @edithspieoakland Five-Year Anniversary with @unconditional_arms and B. Hamilton at @theestorkcluboakland in Oakland, California.

We just got slapped on the bill for next month’s Edith’s Pie celebration, much like some kind of pie topping gets slapped on some kind of pie.

I don’t really know much about pie aside from it being very good to eat and not being cake.

We can’t wait to play music for the nice people and get educated on pie. I’m pretty sure “coffee and pie” were America’s drug of choice before those goddamn hippies showed up in the 60s with their “blotter acid and Wheat Thins.”

8pm. Free pie. $10 if you can swing it. $0 if you can’t.

Our GoFundMe to preorder a 12” 180-gram record of our new album “B. Hamilton” is still alive and kicking through the link in our bio.

Thanks to everybody who has ordered one and helped get it made physical. I think this one should be physical. Flipping it over and turning on old grumpy guy side B should be a delight.

Come see us play a number of songs from it this Sunday at @theestorkcluboakland in the Marxist gender reassignment wokery known as “Oakland, California.” It is for @edithspieoakland fifth anniversary and will feature the reemergence of @unconditional_arms . I heard them practicing the other day, and oh boy, you’re in for a treat. There should be a pie comparison right here.

There’s a lot of history at The Stork Club. I once saw an elderly woman on an oxygen tank repeatedly beat the mailman at Mario Kart 64.

Thanks for listening.

The great American Andrew Macy appreciation, and au revoir post.

Instagram had a cap on 2,200 words. I had more than that and didn’t want to cut anything. All of it is posted as successive screenshots following this drawing by the wickedly talented Heather Jovanelli.

Relevant to music:

“So anyway, I’m not done and probably never will be. I brought a ton of songs to the table following THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, and Raj and I have been hacking away at recording them. We could use a bass player if you want to give it a whirl. A piano player would also be lovely. Two people who can do both would be fun. Things fall apart. I want to put them back in a different order this time.”

Jaga Jazzist - “Pyramid Remix” - OUT NOW. LINK IN BIO 💛
featuring THE AMAZING REMIXERS: Paul Bender from Hiatus Kaiyote, Lindstrom, Prins Thomas, Andre Bratten, Ian Chang, OKIOK, OKR of Once and Future Band and Petter Eldh

"Making a remix album that works as a parallel universe to the original album has always been fascinating to me. Two albums stick out as favourites of mine - Bjork’s "Telegram" with inventive remixes and reworks of her album "Post" and Dungen’s "Häxan" (Versions by Prins Thomas). I’ve listened to far more to both these albums than the originals, to be honest.
Those two albums were the inspiration while compiling ‘Pyramid Remix’. All the remixers are people that I love and knew would make inspiring, inventive and interesting versions of our songs. We all communicated a bit back and forth to make this album become the journey inside Jaga-land that it has become, adding salt and sugar where it was needed. It’s a huge honour for us to put together all these amazing artists into one album!"

A live music this Thursday at @goldenbulloakland from B. Hamilton, and Grace Sings Sludge (with The Sluts).

Here is “Good Foot” from our rehearsal space in Jack London Square.

There is a coffee roaster a block away that funnels in the smell of burning toast and makes everybody think they are having a stroke. The smell of BBQ also comes in sometimes and makes everybody think they are having a down home kick back. Cone thru.
