As we look back on a remarkable year at Hackney Downs Studios and Lockside Studios, we’re celebrating the outstanding achievements across our community.

Here at Hackney Downs Studios, innovation has been in focus, evolving the site in response to the needs of our creative community. With the opening of The Gallery marking a standout addition to the Hackney Downs ecosystem, alongside seasonal courtyard events and an expanding mix of wellness, retail and food and drink, the site remained a vibrant hub all year through.

Over at Lockside Studios, momentum built as 2025 marked our first full year since opening. The site came into its own through resident-led moments and cross-disciplinary collaboration, with Simmo’s at its heart, anchoring daily life for both residents and locals.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to see how our spaces continue to evolve and our communities grow. For now, take a look through a handful of moments and milestones that took place over the past 12 months.

Wishing our residents, collaborators and visitors a very Happy New Year.

Demonstrate’ by Justelle - on all platforms now! 🎵

My lil sister @justellleee - thank you for always trusting in me and pushing me beyond what I think I am capable of. I am so incredibly proud of you for being an artist in the true sense of the word- someone who has vision and can execute it, without being misguided by fads and other unnecessary distractions. Congratulations on your release! ILYSM SIS! 🫶🏼🐉

@__.lq.__ Thank you my brother. Your work never goes unnoticed and I appreciate you co-piloting, always. Our ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. 🥷🐉

@iamtraits Always a pleasure brother, thank you for your contribution and laying great groundwork to build upon! 🤎
