"I'm not living in my head. When I engage in this conversation with you, I'm right here, right now, with you."

Jeff Hatch spent years achieving everything and being present for none of it. An All-American career, an NFL contract, and a double life so exhausting he couldn't sit in a room with another human being without performing.

In this clip from episode 69, Jeff and Drew talk about the thing that supersedes any external success: the ability to actually be here. Present. Human with someone.

Because a double life is exhausting. And presence is where peace starts.

"Shame is a liar. You are not the worst thing you've ever done."

Jeff Hatch was an All-American at Penn and a third round pick by the New York Giants. He was also a man carrying secrets that nearly cost him everything, twice.

In episode 69 of The Loving Leverage Podcast, Jeff talks with our host Drew Powell about what secrets cost a man, what a public collapse taught him that getting sober the first time didn't, and the message he has for the guy sitting in his car right now wondering if it's too late.

It's not. Your story is not written yet.

Jeff told his now wife the truth knowing it could end them. It made them stronger instead.
My guest did the one thing most men will never do.
He told his girlfriend the truth. Not a small truth. The big one. He told her he wasn't sober as long as she thought he was. That the timeline she believed wasn't real. That he'd been carrying it.
He knew what it could cost him. He knew she could walk. He said it anyway.
Because somewhere along the way he learned the thing nobody wants to hear.
The truth you're scared to say out loud is the thing that sets you free.
Your ego tells you to protect the secret. Bury it. She'll leave if she knows. So you hold it, and the lie runs the relationship from the shadows.
He stopped holding it.
He told her the real story knowing it might be the last conversation they ever had.
And you know what happened?
It didn't end them. It made them stronger. The truth he thought would blow it all up became the foundation they built on.
That's how it works every time.
You don't get free and then get honest. You get honest, and that's what sets you free.
The secret you're protecting is the one keeping you sick.
Here's what I know after walking this road myself. What holds most high performance men back isn't the drinking. It's the gap between the man they show the world and the man they actually are. And they've never had one safe place to close it.
That's what I do. I run a private, confidential coaching practice for men who look like they have it all together and are quietly carrying something they've never said out loud to anyone.
No judgment. No rooms full of strangers. No label you have to wear. Just one man who's been where you are, and a space safe enough to finally tell the truth.
If you're carrying something right now and you're tired of holding it alone, message me. The conversation is private. It always stays that way.

Six years. ☀️🏌️🐑

Last week, #TeamBAILOR returned to Nashville for our sixth year as a sponsor of the NFL Alumni Tennessee Caring for Kids Charity Golf Classic. Many of the NFL alumni, business leaders, and friends we spent time with have been part of our extended network for more than 16 years through School of the Legends, NFL Alumni, business ventures, coaching engagements, and a lot of life lived along the way.

That's what makes this one of the easiest "yes" decisions on our calendar every year.

This year added a new chapter.

After nearly two years of building, we were excited to introduce our small business growth and coaching offerings at the tournament for the first time, bringing BAILOR's approach to growth, leadership, and scalability to a new audience of entrepreneurs and business owners.

We also spent part of the day behind the camera asking NFL alumni, founders, executives, and business leaders a simple question: "What's one of the biggest challenges of growing your business?"

We'll be sharing those conversations with YOU in the weeks ahead. 🎤

And somewhere between the interviews, the Tennessee heat, and MANY visits from the famous Hermitage sheep, #TeamBAILOR brought home the Runner-Up trophy. 🐑🏆

To NFL Alumni Tennessee, the alumni, volunteers, sponsors, and friends who continue to make this event what it is... thank you.

We'll be back next year.
