We had the wonderful opportunity to visit @oldtownhaus - what an absolutely stunning location. It didn’t just catch our eye for the beautiful interior design & architecture, but also their lovely hospitality. Thank you so much Nicola & Andreas 🤍

I starting writing my blog 12 years ago & over the years, as I’ve got busier with work, life & starting a new business, the blog posts have become fewer & more infrequent.
But it’s something I’ve always loved doing & I always get lots of lovely comments from loyal readers, many who have been with me from the start, saying how much they enjoy my wafflings 🙏🏻
I write about anything & everything. From interior design trends & styles that have caught my eye, to the odd fashion post & lots of travel posts, featuring where to stay, shop & eat. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to be able to write for other blogs as a guest writer such as @91magazine & I often get messages from followers of my Instagram asking for recommendations on places they are thinking of travelling to, that I may have visited which is always so lovely & I’m forever grateful that these musings resonate with so many of you. I am a natural over sharer, so this is the perfect outlet for me.
To make it easier for you to access my blog, I’ve created a link tree which is in my bio.
My latest blog post is about a visit to St Leonards & Hastings last September, which I absolutely loved & details of the beautiful apartment we stayed in & what we discovered whilst there. If you enjoy discovering our beautiful island, as I do, then I hope you find this interesting & useful 🙏🏻

R E L A X - it’s funny, when we featured home tours, the one room that’s often left out is the bathroom.

Even though it is often the room we dream of being a sanctuary, where we can sink into a deep bath & completely relax.

I guess it can often be the last room we do (it was for us!) as it’s sometimes a big job, or you just feel it’s too small to do anything with… but if you are in need of some bathroom inspo, then here are few lovely ones featured on our blog & in the magazine. 🛀🫧

G A T H E R • I bet some of your best memories at home or in the homes of others is around a table. Gathered together with food, drinks & good conversation.

Light-hearted fun, serious discussions, tears, laughter and everything in between.

Create a gathering space where you can create memories. Here’s a bit of inspiration from our online features & the magazine.

Have a wonderful weekend 💕

It’s dusk, dearest.
(In passing, isn’t ‘dusk’ a lovely word? I like it better
than twilight. It sounds so velvety and shadowy and –
dusky.) In daylight I belong to the world; in the night
to sleep and eternity. But in the dusk I’m free from
both and belong only to myself – and you.

Had an interesting chat this afternoon about Neal Slavin's (@nealslavin) work "Britons".

Deducing how his large format epic portrait scenes were lit, who the sitters were and how tricky it must have been to get everything exactly right shooting on a large format 20x24 polaroid camera.

It had been startling to me to
find out that story books had been written by people,
that books were not natural wonders, coming up of themselves like grass.
Yet regardless of where they come from,
I cannot remember a time when I was not in love
with them - with the books themselves, cover and
binding and the paper they were printed on, with their smell and their weight and with their possession in my arms, captured and carried off to myself.

- lines written down from
‘One Writer’s Beginnings’ by Eudora Welty,
and this boy; for some reason most often
walking around while reading. 📔

’It was a new year. Bare trees.
All our lives.’

- reading ’Known’ by Cecilia Woloch
spending a weekend in the most soulful space
@oldtownhaus in Hastings (and Cassius was
given his own polaroid camera for christmas 👉🏽).
