An atmospheric fragrance design studio working with hotels, lodges and private estates.
Scent, developed as a part of place.

THE AMENITIES EDIT

I probably get more excited about what’s in a hotel bathroom than is reasonable.

But scent is part of how we remember a stay. The shampoo you notice in the shower. The body wash you use twice because it smells that good. The little bottle that somehow ends up coming home with you.
So, a new little edit from me: the hotel amenities I actually get excited to find.

@biologyskin at Hotel Indigo.
Byredo at Little National Adelaide, which genuinely surprised me.
@rohrremedy remedy at Owston Hotel Fremantle.
@voyabeauty at Castle Leslie Estate in Ireland.
And @framacph ? Still waiting to find that one in the wild.

This isn’t really about expensive toiletries. It’s about those small details that make you think someone considered the experience beyond the bed, the minibar and the thread count.

And, unsurprisingly, I usually notice the smell first.

What’s the best thing you’ve found in a hotel bathroom? And more importantly, where was it?
I’m taking notes for the next edit.

If vintage NYC and Tokyo had a design baby… But seriously, I am in awe of the architecture of this home! The lines, the finishes, colour selects and furnishings! What a joy to shoot @olfactorydept products here. And that door ❤️❤️❤️

Stepping into Divine Transmission at @qtopia_sydney feels like stepping into the inner chapel of my soul.
This exhibition is my love letter to rebirth, to resilience, and to the divine spark we all carry within us.

Created with the extraordinary team at Qtopia Sydney, this space is an offering — a place where memory, identity, and spirit can breathe. Every artefact, colour, and ritual is curated to honour the journeys that shape us… and to remind us that transformation is a holy act.

One of the most magical elements has been collaborating with the incredible Mr Ian Ireland @olfactorydept on a bespoke fragrance created especially for the exhibition. Together, we crafted a scent that captures the essence of Divine Transmission.
It’s a fragrance born from devotion — an invisible halo that lingers on the skin like a blessing.

To everyone who visits:
May you feel held, may you feel seen, and may you feel the light that lives within you reflected back a hundredfold. ✨

With love,
Skye 🩵

DIVINE TRANSMISSION
A scent for @qtopia_sydney

When @skyepaez invited me to create a fragrance for Divine Transmission, I leapt at the chance. Her work is infused with such depth and honesty (a kind of quiet courage that holds you) and I knew scent could add an invisible layer to that experience.

For this exhibition, I wanted to craft something that felt like memory, like breath, like a truth rising from somewhere ancient. A fragrance that doesn’t just sit in the air, but gently shapes the space around it. Something that whispers, lingers, and stays with you long after you leave.

Working with Skye has been one of those collaborations that reminds you why you create. The kind that is built on trust, curiosity, and shared reverence for story.

It’s been an honour to help bring this world to life through scent.

A reminder that we have always been divine; yesterday, today, forever.

Luxury is changing.
For a long time, we measured it with stars and scorecards.
Forbes has over 1300 criteria. Michelin now awards keys.
Perfection was the goal. Consistency was the language.

I grew up in that world.
The marble lobbies. The quiet choreography of service.
Everything polished, precise, rehearsed.

But today, travellers want something different.
Not performance. Presence.
Not spectacle. Atmosphere.
Not status. Feeling.

The new luxury is intimate, sensory, emotional.
The scent of the lobby.
The way the light falls in the morning.
The warmth in how someone speaks to you.
The quiet silence of a space that lets you exhale.

Maybe the five-star hotel is not dying.
Maybe it is evolving.
From something we admire
to something we feel.
