BacHeLoRettE started with an intense brain exercise (why did I pick an escape room that was dumb no pun intended) >>> progressed into “ok since only two of us are drinking we will just have a glass of wine each” >>> playing lots of our childhood classic Singaporean games >>> to @jean_hia ordering a whole bottle of Chardonnay >>> realising my mum is super competitive in games >>> to @olindacho who got a bottle of Perrier Jouet >>> lots of laugh crying >>> my favourite guys at @xiaoyatou.sg coming with shots >>> getting a valet to drive all of us home cos we were drunk by 8pm. We tried to be demure and mindful but this was way better!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to #olindacho whose music career began when she took part in the inaugural season of #singaporeidol (2004) and finished 3rd place... In all honesty, she shouldve been at the finals with Taufik, if not for the 100% public voting rule. She signed with Hype Records in 2005 and released her debut album titled "Rewind" in 2007, and it comprised of mostly covers of popular songs. She was one of the top 4 contestants in Jay Chou's team in #singchina season 2. She is also a premium fruit specialist offering Shizuoka melons and Japanese grapes worth $280.
Other facts about Olinda...
🎶 She shares the same birthdate with HK actress Cecilia Cheung!!
🎶 She was born 3 days after the worldwide release of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. The URA/HDB parking coupons, Singapore Democratic Party, NUS were formed that same year.
🎶 She's 2 days older than Rhett Fisher (Ryan Mitchell the Titanium Ranger in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue) and 4 days older than Westlife's Mark Feehily.
🎶 She's the same age as Xie Jiafa, Judee Tan, Candyce Toh, Devarajan, Andrew Lua, Lim Youyi, Stella Ng, Narainda, and Elvin Ng.

Whoa how time flies... It was 20 years ago when the inaugural season of #singaporeidol came to an end, with a one-night Grand Finals at a fully packed Singapore Indoor Stadium. #taufikbatisah (represented by the color 🤍) was crowned the first Singapore Idol, and the rocker #sylvestersim (represented by the color 🩷 ) finished 2nd place. The phone lines crashed due to thousands of calls made on that night. I was watching the show with my family at home, and I didn't seriously follow the show at the time, til the 2nd season. Most of the fans who voted fervently for the guys are probably mums and dads now.
The 2nd layout features the photos I took with the alumni.
🎵 First and so far only photo with Taufik was at Chix Hot Chix workplace in August 2019.
🎵 I had taken photo with Sly 3 times, most recently at Chinatown Point in January 2017.
🎵 My only photo with 3rd place #olindacho was at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre in June 2018.
🎵 My first 3 photos with 4th place #daphnekhoo aka Haneri (now a deejay at Kiss 92 FM) were at the original Mediacorp building itself in mid 2006, during the second season. The photo here was actually the 2nd photo, I couldn't find the first photo.
🎵 My only photo with @iambenjamineio (who made it to the Wildcard Round) was outside Capitol Building in early March 2019, before Meena and Cheena show.
🎵 I had taken photo with singer-songwriter #serenekoong a few times between 2010 to 2022. She was the composer and songwriter to the Full Circle instrumental and "Save Me From Myself", the main theme of the drama KIN (2018 - 2022).
🎵 I had taken photo with #natho more than 20 times between 2007 to 2019, I was even part of his fanclub for a few years. The first photo was in May 2007, when he sported a crew cut due to playing a NS recruit for the Channel 8 drama "宝家卫国". Nat is best known for his role as Jay Lim Junkai in the Channel 5 drama "Tanglin" (2015 - 2018).
🎵 I had taken photo with the host #gurmitsingh a few times between 2007 (he was bald) to 2022 (at Singapore Expo).
