I’m back, friends! I can confirm that I have been to the London Pen Show and returned with a full heart into a real life situation that required lots of energy and a full-time commitment. Why can’t adulting ever be easy?

For today, I’m going to tease you with my super modest haul from the show. I need to be more fiscally responsible for the time being, I prioritised the things that are the real reason of going to the pen shows — socialising and hanging out with my friends old and new. I’ll quickly mention a few highlights.

I finally got to meet @oliveleafcalli in person, who gave me the beautiful piece of calligraphy you see in the post. She’s such a master of her craft, I’m at awe every time I look at it. Thank you, Sue! We have attended the Diamine ink mixing workshop with @pineapplestudio.uk and @diamine.inkstudio. More on that in a separate post, but how the heck did I end up with this brown, even if it’s actually a cute one.

Big thanks to @stringsandpedals for tuning my unruly pens and being a great partner in crime alongside @atemlicht. You guys have made my trip.

Loved seeing Mario from @stiloestile and his lovely wife, as I lured him into a first non-Italian pen show. One of my favourite people in the pen world, hands down.

New Polish stationery friend @elwirawelsh84. We talked to each other in English for ages until someone pointed out we’re actually both of the same nationality. Fun times!

To the usual suspects that make every pen show what it is. It’s always a highlight of my year to see you guys, you make these events special.

On a final note, I’ll unwrap all the goodies and swatch out the inks in the coming days, rather than just teasing everyone with boxes. So please stay tuned.
