💌 ask God to speak to you, and He will. here’s how God spoke to me @ senior retreat:

the importance of gratitude!!! -
pause and look around you. god blesses you in ways you don’t always notice. the sound of your best friends having fun and laughing, or the quiet moments spent outside alone with the lord, watching the sun rise and illuminate the green grass… these are blessings. practicing gratitude refreshes your memory of just how good God is. it reminds you that His love is all around you, woven into even the smallest moments of your life.

leaning on your people!! -
God puts people in our lives intentionally. He surrounds us with people that bring us joy, walk with us through hardship, and point us back to him. be vulnerable with the people closest to you, because God speaks to us through the people he has placed in our lives! it is okay to feel deeply, to struggle, and to not “be okay” all the time. when those moments come, do not try to carry them alone. talk to the Lord vulnerably, and bring that same vulnerability to the Godly people around you. God created us to have community & His love is shown most clearly through the people He gives us.

since summer is now over here’s a recap!! 🌺💗✌️

This past year on my faith journey my word was consistency.

Consistency has taught me the love and consistency God has with His children. As consistent as I try to be, God will always be more consistent than me and there’s beauty in that. Consistency has taught me God’s hands throughout the entire bible. I hate to admit this sometimes, but I used to fear the old testament and found it difficult to read and analyze. However, God called me to step out of my comfort and start trying to understand, and there has been so much fruit in understanding the past and God’s consistent, merciful character. Something that made consistency easier for me was my amazing community. Being around people who love Jesus, inspire you, and encourage you is one of the greatest blessings. I had the blessings of amazing friends and amazing mentors who poured into me this whole year. Even though hardships came and went, God stayed consistent with me. God put me through things to bring me closer to Him by reliance.

My next word of the year is boldness, and seeing the fruit that brings of escaping my fears of vulnerability and living boldly.
