POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On September 10th, we wrapped up our two Paris Labs, marking the end of our lab schedule for 2026!

We are so grateful for the two incredible cohorts of writers who joined our mentors in Paris. Hosted by the amazing team behind @NewImages, writers from around the world shared ideas, collaborated, and enjoyed a fabulous Parisian time together, creating connections that we hope will last forever.

Thank you to everyone who made these labs so special!

More to come in 2027! Check obravenewstory.com to stay up to date.

A week ago, the Rio Theater doors opened and we kicked off the 2026 River and Redwoods Film Festival. What a beautiful weekend full of joy, laughter, tears, s’mores, film, creativity and community. We want to thank everyone who came out and made it so special. Lastly, we want to thank our supporters, volunteers and all of the incredible filmmakers. Much love and appreciation from the RRFF team: Dan, Drew, Kathy and Masashi. ❤️🎥 🏞️ photos by David Mackie.

Super thrilled that @mondegreen.film is screening @riverredwoodsfilmfestival this weekend. In amazing company with many shorts from many talented friends. In a real movie theater. On the big screen. As it should be seen! 🍿🍿🍿

Went to Paris for The Whale Screenwriting Lab ✍️😎 another reminder of how much I love storytelling. Thank you @obravenewstory for accepting me into the program and connecting me with writers from all over the world.

This lab and other programs like @roadmapwriters, along with some amazing feedback on some of my scripts has left me feeling inspired and ready to share more.

To more adventures @standupjuofficial_ 🍻 💙💚

Join us Sept 25-27 at the historic Monte Rio Theater for 3 days of independent films, networking, community, and Russian River fun!

The River & Redwoods Film Festival is a celebration of independent film and creativity, set among the towering redwoods along the Russian River in Monte Rio, California.

There will be screenings, filmmaker Q&As, special spotlights, local food and drink, beautiful nature and the laid‑back, artistic spirit that defines Sonoma County.

‘Sick of the Times’ is a somatic release of some of our worry, grief, and precarity; this was something that was really important to me. I wanted us to have the chance to dance around–to scream. Thanks for listening. I hope we can do this at a show soon.

If you know, you know: Fern has been one of our most-loved colors — that bright, kelly-inspired green that just makes everything pop. And as we shift into our Fall lineup, this is the last chance to shop it.

You can catch Fern in these favorites :
• Fawn Skirt in Poplin (just restocked!)
• Hugo Tee
• Billie Shorts
• Jules Cardigan
• Anya Sweater (on sale!)

Whether you’re stocking up on a favorite or trying Fern for the first time, now’s the moment 🌱

A few months ago, Director Linda Mai Green (@omglmg) reached out to me to be an extra in Thao Nguyen’s (@thaogetstaydown) new music video for FOSSILS. What!? 😱😜 Linda knew that I’m a Thao super fan. The 1st time I saw her perform was at SXSW back when I lived in Austin. Her music moved me in ways that I can’t fully express and continues to. Since then, she’s been so kind to perform at CAAMFest (@caamedia) multiple times. She’s incredible and although I’m a lil part of the video, this really means the world to me. So the biggest thanks to Linda. ❤️
