🌱🪻🦆🕊️💚 A heartfelt THANK YOU to Mark Kolasa and his team of volunteers at Montrose Beach Dunes, part of the Chicago Park District Natural Areas stewardship program, for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to protecting these beautiful natural ecosystems!

On Sunday, October 18th, they came together to Protect What We Love and Help Nature Flourish! 🌎🌿

603 pieces of pollution documented, native plants nurtured, and a community united by love for nature!

Mark and the dedicated volunteers at Montrose Dunes and Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary do so much more than remove pollution. They nurture native plants, collect and conserve seeds, manage invasive species, and restore habitats where nature can flourish. 🌱🌸

The seed collected carries the promise of new life. The native plant protected strengthens biodiversity. Every restored habitat creates a home for birds, pollinators, and wildlife.

The final official volunteer stewardship day of 2026 was an inspiring celebration of community action!

As part of this collective effort, volunteers documented pollution using the Yaku Water Conservation App:

🌱 152 pieces at Montrose Dunes

🕊️ 451 pieces at Montrose Bird Sanctuary

These 603 documented pieces demonstrate how ecological restoration and community science work together to protect Lake Michigan and its precious ecosystems.

🌊 Water is life. Seeds are the promise of tomorrow. Biodiversity is the foundation of a healthy planet.

Conservation means more than preserving nature today. It means giving life the opportunity to regenerate and flourish for future generations.

Thank you again, Mark and your wonderful team, for planting the seeds of a healthier, more beautiful future! 🌎💚🌱🪻

With appreciation from the Pachacamak Foundation and Yaku Water Conservation. 🌊💙🪶

There is a 𝖗𝖔𝖔𝖒 𝖎𝖓𝖘𝖎𝖉𝖊
where only I can travel,
a room that is always
& never the same.
When I find myself there,
sometimes it is so quiet I hear
the space between stars.
Sometimes, I meet
a wisdom beyond what
I could ever know.
And sometimes I hear
right through a story
I have been telling myself.
There is such delicious
lightness then, as if a cloak
made of bedrock has been lifted
from my being.
How did I not know
I was wearing a cloak
made of stone?
And how many
other layers am I wearing—
layers as imperceptible as air
& layers dense as lead—
layers waiting until I’ve grown
enough for them to be shed?

In the 𝓂𝑜𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝒷𝑒𝒻𝑜𝓇𝑒 𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓃𝒾𝓉𝓎, there is a quickening heart, longing reach, struggling breath exhales. Then comes a breaking open, softening surrender, & suddenly... freeing.
What happens next?

Deep gratitude to @whosgaybriel @hummingbird_flies @total.pollination for letting me spread my wings for The Aviary: Birds of Paradise 🦅

A truly special curation of a stellar, inspiring, & diverse cast with a unique theme. Very thankful to be a part of it.

Meet Your Rage Doulas!

These are your emotional anchors. Your sacred space-holders.

They’re here to hold you in your anger, grief, overwhelm, and “WTF is happening” moments.

Together, they have tens of thousands of hours of training in somatics, coaching, psychology, and trauma-informed care.

They’ve done this work in their own bodies, in their own lives — and now, they’re showing up for you.

Whether you’re screaming from your soul, tantruming like a 3-year-old, sobbing out grief, or or shaking loose the weight of the world — they’re trained to make sure you feel safe, seen, and sovereign.

And they give the best damn hugs.

For realz.

They’re ready.
Are you?

𝙨𝙬𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 🫠 over these photos that @iamharleygolightly captured for our beloved PussyWolf show 💐 @thenewporttheater

Forever grateful to these artists who shared their stories with us. It is in these moments on stage — in heightened presence, expression, authenticity, ritual — where we can inspire, resist, dream into what’s possible for humanity. 💓

CW: sexual violence (SV)

These slides are tongue-in-cheek #humorascopingmechanism but I’m enraged 😤 & disgusted 🤮 by the r*pists at Cornell (there 57 in the chat btw)

Why do r*pists get protected while the survivors get silenced? 🔇

As someone who is not just a survivor but has also dedicated their clinical, professional career to supporting survivors of s€call violence, I know this is nothing new (this case was 2 years ago). We also know that we cannot isolate SV without talking about intersections of identity & systemic crises. 🔍

The #safetyvalve theory speaks to the ways in which corporations & govmnt 👨‍⚖️ provide a temporary platform for mobilization (a march or strike, or even social media) but then do nothing to actually change policies or shift institutional power.

I see this on the local scale too, how this is perpetuated in communities (ahem many spiritual ones I was a part of) & interpersonally when survivors courageously speak out about things they’ve endured & the perpetrators get little to zero accountability, while still holding leadership positions! 🚫

So it is vital to have a release valve from this insanity but it is ALSO vital to not become complicit in these systems — as the status quo is their goal — as it starts with bodily autonomy/ embodied consent education for our youth & quite literally calling out your “bros” as adults at the risk of being labeled a “cuck” or “simp”.

Yesterday, Nettelhorst’s 6th graders brought their curiosity to Montrose Beach, and turned the shoreline into a living classroom. 🌊

Through the Pachacamak Foundation’s Yaku Water Conservation program, students learned hands on about mesoplastics and microplastics; they recorded 1,051 litter items, including 275 pieces of mesoplastic, 116 larger pieces of plastic, 121 metal bottle caps, 114 plastic bottle caps, and 99 cigarette butts.
The Yaku geo map adds another dimension to their discoveries. Each mapped record connects an item to a place along the shoreline, helping students see patterns and ask new questions: Where is litter gathering? What might be bringing it there? How can what we observe guide the way we care for this beach?
What moved me most was watching young people connect science with the water, biodiversity, and community around them. Their curiosity inspires us to keep going, for a healthier future for our children and the generations to come.
Thank you to the Nettelhorst students and teachers for learning and caring alongside us. Yaku is life! 💙🌱

B&W @flirtyboudoir for the equinox 🖤🩶🤍

May this transition remind us that light & darkness exist together. Our shadows remain but we can face them with honesty, compassion, & wisdom. 🦅

“On this day
may you be held
in the harmony
of light & dark
in the balance
of life & death.
May you stand
in peace
believing for one day
that all good things
are possible
that all opposition
has its counterpart
that you will be healed.
May you pause
on this day
to feel the turning
of the wheel
to hear the singing
of the stars
to stand in the center of
& fully know
equilibrium.”

𝓟𝓾𝓼𝓼𝔂𝓦𝓸𝓵𝓯 2026 🪷🐺

✨ *finally* posting this recap in the efforts of helping with digesting big experiences ✨

TL;DR
PvssyWolf ‘26 was incredible & im so grateful to everyone who made it possible. 🫶🏼

The theme this year was Liberation; how the Erotic & one’s unique connection can guide, shape, encourage you to feel free. We had specific Xpressions of dissonance, conscious letting go, kink, fertility, loss of innocence, embracing the goodness, & radical body love.

It was potent & powerful to say the least. 💥
