POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

@provincetownindependent The Provincetown Independent recently caught up with local gallerists to talk about this summer’s unique rhythms, what collectors were drawn to, and what’s ahead.

We loved seeing PAGA members @theschoolhousegallery, @ricepolakgallery, @simiemarylesgallery, @garymarottafineart, and @oncentergallery among the voices featured.

So typically I do not get a chance to visit the other amazing galleries during this trip as their hours typically are the same as my gallery. On my way back to my little abode last night, the universe had one of my favourites open a little later than posted., so I was able to see the latest work from my artist friends @jarradheaslip and @laurieskantzosart and became obsessed with a new artist @joeybrockart ! Congratulations @oncentergallery on a stunning collection!

There’s something really special about witnessing the final pieces of a years-long vision come together.

In this behind-the-scenes moment from Box Studio, Kevin and Jennifer share the excitement of completing Kevin Box’s Nautical Series—a body of work that has been years in the making. Every sculpture represents countless hours of folding, engineering, collaboration, and craftsmanship, and seeing the entire collection assembled is a milestone worth celebrating.

The series will make its debut at On Center Gallery in Provincetown, Rhode Island, with the opening reception on August 14 from 6:30-9PM. If you happen to be in Provincetown, we hope you’ll stop by and experience these remarkable new works in person.

We feel incredibly lucky to witness moments like these and share them with you. More behind-the-scenes from Box Studio coming soon!

We are lucky in Provincetown and the surrounding area to have multiple large arts organizations, and they are vital to the continued vibrancy of the Provincetown Art Colony. Listen to @jillrothsimms of @oncentergallery talk about it during our one-year anniversary episode!
