【工作坊 Workshop | Re-viewing the Everyday: Cyanotype Lab 日常的異視界：藍曬實驗室】

Workshop Description 工作坊簡介

When everyday objects are stripped of their functional roles, light and shadow become their new language. Centred on the cyanotype process, this workshop invites you to place ordinary items, from keys, cutlery, and toothbrushes to translucent packaging, under UV light. Through ultraviolet catalysis and the rich oxidation of Prussian blue, we will break away from conventional perceptions of daily objects, reassembling mundane silhouettes into poetic, abstract compositions. No prior photography experience is required, simply bring your curiosity and everyday objects.

*You will make one bookmark and one A4 piece after completing the workshop.

Sketches from @esoteric.etchings scrying and dreamwork drawing group at @covenhq on Monday. Surrounded by moons, the session used black bowl water scrying, eyelid and candle flame scrying and drawing inspiration from oracle and tarot card pulling. We discussed dreams and sketched scenes from our memory and imagination.

I love the themes that can up for each of us independently - geometric shapes, dogs, liminal spaces, trees, eyes, eerie figures and some yonic symbolism.

A huge thank you to the team at @covenhq for having us and for such a warm welcome. Such a special community creative space! Very fun witchy vibes 🖤✨

[Exhibition] Rhapsody of August Riot (2026）

We always talk about how artworks are perceived by an audience in different contexts. For my degree show, I showcased the entire Examination series alongside text. Now, I’m displaying only two pieces from the series without text, just the titles. Without the context of self-examination, what do you see?

📍 Location
Mall Galleries, The Mall, London SW1

🗓 Exhibition Dates
24 – 29 August 2026
10:00 – 17:00

Happy World Photography Day 📸 🌎 🎉

We just wanted to share some absolutely stunning works from our 2026 MA Photography graduates to show the breadth and ambition of the work in our photography studios.

At the RCA, our MA Photography students are committed to probing what the photographic image is, and could be. Central to our tutors' approach is the practising, theorising, and receiving of photography as a field unrestricted by the conventions of material, medium, format, discipline and genre.

As one of our Head of MA Photography, James Coupe writes "these artists use images not simply to describe the world, but to test it, trouble it, mourn it, and imagine it otherwise."

Work in order are...

-Lael Reiss @laelreiss

🖼️✨ CERCA x Serpentine - A look back at our exclusive tour with Serpentine last Friday, offering CERCA members the opportunity to explore one of London’s leading contemporary art institutions from behind the scenes. The visit was an inspiring opportunity to engage with Serpentine’s exhibitions, learn more about the organisation’s creative ecosystem, and gain insight into the processes behind one of the world’s most influential contemporary art spaces.

Following the tour, we continued the evening together at the RCA SU Bar End of Year Fiesta with @rcasuartbar, giving members the chance to connect, celebrate the end of the academic year, and continue the conversations sparked during the visit. 🥂✨

A huge thank you to @serpentineuk for welcoming the CERCA community and sharing your knowledge, insights, and perspectives with our members.

Looking forward to continuing to build connections between RCA creatives and leading cultural institutions. 🚀
