🖤🔪Throwback Flatlay🔪🖤

Happy Friday, friends! We made it to the weekend 🎉 This was meant to be a throwback Thursday post, but it just didn’t happen yesterday. So we’re calling this a throwback flatlay.

I was OBSESSED with the Terror Academy series when I was a preteen. I owned all 15 of them at one point - no idea where they all went. I remember absolutely nothing about them except who the killer is in The Prom and that I loved them 😆 They’re YA slasher/horror/murder mystery books.

I’ve never met anyone who has read these or even remembers them. They are a Canadian book series, I believe, so maybe this will ring some bells for my Canadian friends of a certain age 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyway, they’re a throwback that fit the season, so I thought I’d share 👻 I’ll tag some friends to show off a book or series you loved as a preteen - no pressure! I hope you all have a great Friday! 🖤

QOTD🔮: Tell me a book that reminds you of your younger years!

🧡🍂 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 🍂🧡⁣
⁣
Good morning lovelies happy Wednesday! ☺️ I hope you're having a wonderful week so far? ⁣
⁣
We're currently being blown about by storm Austen 🌬️ thankfully I'm tucked up inside with a stew in the slow cooker 🤤⁣
⁣
I've recently been tagged to do a #SpellTheMonthInBooks challenge by the lovely @chapter1.page1 😘 thank you! ⁣
⁣
Being my favourite month I had to jump in quickly to do October 🤣⁣
⁣
O - once upon a river⁣
C - catching fire⁣
T - the final gambit⁣
O - On earth were briefly gorgeous ⁣
B - best summer ever ⁣
E - Enchantra ⁣
R - Ruthless vows⁣
⁣
The O's were tricky so they don't quite fit the autumn colour scheme 😬 but hey I found 2 of them so still pretty chuffed! ⁣
⁣
We visited hobby craft last week (dangerous at this time of year) and I picked up these adorable checked, plush pumpkins 😍 I love the colours and they are super soft! Sadly Tim stopped me from buying the cats a giant colour your own ice cream shop for the cats 🤷‍♀️ that man has no whimsy! ⁣
⁣
I've tagged a few people who might like to try this challenge! Of course no pressure 💜⁣
⁣
What's the weather like where you are? 🍂🧡

🧙🏼‍♀️ Spelling Stack 🧙🏼‍♀️

The amazing @oneconfusedabs tagged me in this fun challenge. Her skeleton ☠️ challenge is amazing so please check it out!

I hated how the floor on my pic looked (see the second picture) so I found another background to put it on which I do love 🖤🤪.

Anyway, the word I was given was 'Witches':

W - itch King
I - nheritance
T - alonsister
C - urser's Fury
H - im
E - mpire of the Vampire
S - tone of Farewell

And thanks to my daughter for letting me use her little witch dress and hat 😊.

Q: have you spotted the little black witch cat in the pic?

Open tag! Your word will be: phantom 👻. Please tag me if you decide to do it because I would love to see it!

🎃Book Jack-O-Lantern🎃

Thought I’d do something different today and it was so much fun! I wish I had tons of orange books for this but, alas, orange is a color that is severely lacking on my shelves.

I’ll tag some friends to make any spooky season shape you want - no pressure! 🎃👻💀🦇🧙🏻‍♀️

QOTD🔮: What are you reading today? I’m working on The Once and Future Witches✨

✨TBR Flatlay✨

Happy Friday, friends! The lovely @lynn_of_velaris tagged me in this one 🖤 The last TBR Flatlay I did was all paperbacks, so here are my hardbacks (not all of them 🫠) I don’t want to clean this up 😑

The Santa Ana winds are upon us in Southern California and they’re wild. We were without power all day yesterday and most of the traffic lights in my immediate area have been turned off - which has taught me that most drivers don’t understand how 4 way stops work 😒 Just hoping we remain fire free where I live 🤞🏻

I’ll tag some friends for a TBR flatlay - no pressure! 🖤

QOTD🔮: What are you up to this weekend? We have the Fall festival at my kid’s school tomorrow (hopefully the wind dies down 😣) and Sunday I will be rotting!

As all my books are sadly in storage i chose to do an edit and I’m actually glad I did as I have read so many great books on my kindle but haven’t got the paperbacks and all of these I rated very high so honestly read them some of these are not talked about enough if I’m honest.

@lexisbookshelfdiary tagged me in this post ages ago thank you so much my beautiful bb.

🧡Least Favorite Color (to wear)🧡

Happy Saturday, friends! Many moons ago @jen.harker.author.ordinaire tagged me on a least favorite color stack - thanks, Jen! 🥰 Truthfully, I don’t have a least favorite color, BUT I don’t really love to wear orange - so we’ll go with that 😂 Plus, it fits the season 🎃

My son got very excited about the color of this stack and excitedly ran to his room to get his Mega Charizard Y in an effort to help me decorate for my photo 💔 And I’m not mad at it; he does look pretty cute peeking out from behind the books 🧡

I’ll tag some friends for a least favorite color (or color to wear) stack - no pressure! 🧡

QOTD🔮: What are you up to this weekend? Apparently there’s a storm hitting Southern California, so I foresee a lot of rotting and relaxing!

✨10 Before the End✨

Happy Saturday, friends! Behold! My 10 before the end 🎉 Thanks to the lovely @aliciathebookdragon for the tag ♥️

Who knows if I’ll actually get to all of these - but my three priorities are Hobb, Gwynne, and Pratchett. I told myself I would start all of those book journeys this year and we’re down to the wire 🫠 It’s fine.

I’ll tag some friends for a 10 before the end stack - no pressure 🖤

🚨 I know there’s only 9 books 😂🫠 See pinned comment 📌

QOTD🔮: What was your favorite September read? Mine was Dead Beat 🦉

✨️ 5 Star Predictions ✨️

I think we all have books on our TBR that just give that inkling that they're going to be full 5⭐️ reads. Here are a few of mine!
Some of these predictions are because of what others have said about these books, and some because I have a gut feeling that I'm going to really vibe with the story🖤

🔸️Which book on your TBR gives you the 5⭐️ vibes?🔸️

So excited to see if my predictions for these are correct or not🤭
Thank you so much @jayisreading_ for tagging me into this fun challenge!❤️ I'm gonna pass it on to a few bookish friends, interesting to see what your 5 star predictions are!🥰 But no pressure as always, life tends to get busy and I totally get it👏 (I myself am very, very much behind on my challenges, sorry guys😂🫣)

💜Purple Pokémon Stack💜

Happy Friday, friends! Two of my favorite booksta babes tagged me in a couple challenges that I merged - @i.dont.give.a.fantasy.funk tagged me for a purple stack and @shona_reads_in_devon tagged me in a match your Pokémon stack 💜

I think was 12 when Pokémon first came out and I missed my window to be interested in it. But all 3 of my kids have loved/still love the show, the cards, the characters…. so I have developed an appreciation for it.

Gengar is not my favorite Pokémon - he just matches the purple stack. My favorite Pokémon is any form of Ponyta/Rapidash solely because they look like a My Little Pony; and I am a child of the 80s (Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Star Catcher forever✨🦄 IYKYK)

I’ll tag some friends for a purple stack or a match your Pokémon stack - no pressure 💜

QOTD🔮: Do you have a favorite Pokémon? OR any fun plans this weekend? We have a 4 day weekend for Fall Break and no plans, really 😍
