Up the allotment today at @rootsallotments 🌱🚜
Plenty more growing at home, but this is everything I’ve got going on at the allotment so far! From seedlings and veg beds to future plans still in the making 👀

Have a listen to the tour to see what’s already growing and what’s still to come over the next few months 🌿🥕🍓

It’s all slowly coming together and I can’t wait to see what this space looks like by summer ☀️

Are you even a gardening content creator if you don’t have a potting table? 🌱😂

And yes… I built this one myself! 🔨

Very happy with my new potting table from @thompsonmorgan1855 — arrived within 2 days, super easy to build and it’s officially ready for a full year of potting up, seed sowing and garden creativity 🌼🪴

Now the question is… what should be the first thing planted on it? 👀

POV: You’ve just turned 30… and instead of checking your phone, you’re outside in your slippers doing a full plant inspection 🤣🌱

“Morning guys, how we all doing?”
Checking leaves ✅
Touching the soil for no reason ✅
Watering… even though you watered yesterday ✅

Who even am I anymore 😭

Know you’re getting old when your plants come before everything else 😂

Do THIS to your cosmos for more flowers 🌸 If you’ve never pinched your cosmos before… you’re missing out 🌸

This is me giving my cosmos a little trim — it might feel wrong at first, but trust me, it’s one of the best things you can do for them.

When you pinch out the growing tip (that top bit of fresh growth), the plant stops shooting straight up and instead puts its energy into growing side shoots. That means a fuller, bushier plant… and way more flowers over the season.

Simple guide:– Wait until your plant is about 15–20cm tall– Find the top growing tip– Pinch or snip it just above a set of leaves– That’s it… job done

A few tips:– Don’t be shy with it, cosmos bounce back quickly– You can pinch more than once if they get leggy again– Keep them well watered after, especially in warm weather– The more you cut (even when picking flowers), the more they produce

It might look a bit sad for a few days… but give it a week or two and you’ll see the difference.

More stems, more blooms, and a much better-looking plant overall 🌿

CHEAP STRAWBERRIES ALERT 🚨B&M BARGAIN 🍓 Stopped in B&M today and couldn’t believe my luck… 🍓

Strawberry plants for £1 each — or 5 for £5. Honestly, I’ve not seen them that cheap anywhere this season. Had to grab a few because at that price they won’t hang around long.

I’ve seen the exact same kind going for £3–£5 per plant at garden centres lately… madness. Definitely worth checking your local store before they’re gone.

If you’re thinking about growing your own strawberries this year, this is your sign — cheap, cheerful, and you’ll thank yourself later when they start fruiting.
