A lovely new home for some of my favourite experiments in clay - and what a night to celebrate it.

A selection of bespoke woven ceramics from the dbCeramic Studio collection is now at the beautiful new @twpclothing store on Bruton Street. These pieces are all about playing with form, texture and glaze to create sculptural objects that sit somewhere between vessel and artwork.

It was such a pleasure to see them in situ at the launch the other night, alongside TWP’s wonderfully eclectic mix of fashion, art and design.

Represented by @onnahouse , who work with me to place my ceramic artworks in some very special spaces.

Half Moon is now hanging in TWP’s new London store.⁠
⁠
It’s part of TWP’s ongoing collaboration with Onna House, a Long Island gallery and art advisory that places work by women artists inside TWP’s retail spaces across the US and UK. This is the second time one of my works has found its way into one of their stores, the first being in Los Angeles.⁠

I like when work ends up somewhere outside the expected art-world rooms. A store isn’t a gallery, but it’s still a space someone walks through slowly, a space that catches the eye and affects the body. Even in a photo, you can see how Half Moon impacts the feeling in the new Mayfair store.⁠

I’m hosting 2 stitching meetups: Tuesday 10-12 and Friday 10-12. link to register in bio. 🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊😻EVENT DESCRIPTION: “Join renowned textile artist Liz Collins and other creatives for a gathering where we hang out, stitch, knit, crochet, and connect. Drop in. Start your day with some stitching- come with your coffee and hang out with others who love to stitch. We will meet at the Wave Bar at the Crown & Anchor for 2 sessions over the week. Bring your current project or start a new one. Beginners are welcome.
No formal instruction will be provided but Liz can assist beginners as needed and encourages skill sharing amongst the group.
Some materials will be provided (assorted threads, yarns, fabric, needles, scissors) but you are welcome to bring your own. By donation. Weather permitting we will sit outside. “🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🧶🧶🧶🧶the photos in my post show some other stitching events and workshops I have done in the past few years. Ever since Covid and the crazy politics of our times, I have found these gatherings to be very nourishing and really fun. People really love them. I’ll be running two different workshops next summer – one in New Hampshire and one in Italy, stay tuned for info about those or DM me. 🩷🪡🧶😍
