The Allen’s ❤️

My heart was so full as I sent out the previews to this gallery! I couldn’t have asked for a better end to my wedding season than to spend a whole day with Julia & Jason!!!! I honestly don’t think it’s possible to have a dull moment with these two. Every little detail was so intentional and beautiful. So so perfect!

I’m wishing these two the absolute best as they begin this next chapter together 🤗

Pearl heels, the ring and the vows she’d written just for him — laid out and ready before the dress even went on. Every detail on this table took months to plan; making it look effortless and timeless is the job.

Chicago wedding design and day-of coordination, all in one.

“She has an incredible ability to capture every meaningful moment without ever making us feel like a camera was constantly in our faces.”

Heather wrote that after she saw her gallery and it’s the best description of how I work a getting ready morning that I’ve read.

Here’s what it looks like in practice. I’ll guide you to the light for bridal portraits, how to naturally pose, and then I step back. When your flower girls needs you or a bridesmaid pulls you aside, I don’t interrupt it to reset a shot. Those moments are the reason I’m there.

Getting ready deserves slowness and Heather had it: calm, unhurried, taking the whole morning in instead of watching the clock…and with her people.

It’s the hour everyone underestimates.

The Warners🥂✨

The little details, very Maddie & Mike🖤

A moment for the newlyweds💍✨

The setup before the celebrating began🥂

Pour decisions were made🍾😂

A sweet little pause in the celebrating🎂✨

Everyone they love, all in one room🥹

Just the two of them for a minute🖤

Because one first dance photo simply wasn’t enough🥹

And the rest of the night looked a little like this 🪩✨

THE PETTINGERS!! 🥳🥂🪩

I celebrated 7/25 with Meg & Joe at @wildmanbt and my feet still hurt from how much dancing went on 💃

M&J were rooted in the love they have for each other, their families, and the togetherness a wedding brings. It was nothing but smiles all day long on the lakefront with these two!!

The fact that I'm out of Larsen sister weddings to photograph hasn't quite sunk in yet, but I do know that this means that I can't retire until their beautiful daughters get married in like, 2050🤷🏻‍♀️. And I'm okay with that.

Some weddings just stay with you.

Kristina & Dan’s Monte Bello Estate wedding was the perfect blend of timeless, elegance, genuine emotion, and so much fun. They are two of the kindest people, and spending the day with them and their families was an absolute pleasure.

From the quiet moments before the ceremony to an unforgettable night on the dance floor, everything came together so naturally 🙏

Thank you, Kristina & Dan, for trusting Good Wedding Films to capture such an incredible day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness. 🤍

A few film favorites from Heather and Rob’s day at The Armour House.

There is something about the way film renders pink. It’s soft and warm and a little dreamy and it’s the way you WANT a wedding to feel when you look back on it.

Film is also the reason those details are as considered as they are. Loading a roll means every frame matters, which means I’m slower, more deliberate and really seeing what’s in front of me before I press the shutter button. These images don’t happen by accident like some on my digital camera do and I love that!

And the thing about shooting film alongside digital is that the two don’t compete. They complement. The ones I slowed down for and the ones that happened fast and true. Your gallery gets both.
