In honor of Carolyn.
I did many portraits in January- but this is the most meaningful. Carolyn is Tonya’s mama.- who is my lifelong Jonathon friend. Her mama passed January 13. I pray that her spunk, love for her family, and how she shared so genuinely the love of her Savior remains her legacy- not the disease that took her life. Tears poured as I sketched. I won’t share personal details- not mine to share, but I will say that my dear Tonya was able to take her mama her last meal. Through tears Tonya said- “when she asked for soup and tea and told me it was too late for me to get out... I said mama, you have been serving me my whole life, I’m going to serve you. “ and she was able to hear “I love you” from her mama that Monday night.

I pray that people let go of opinions and push politics aside when making choices regarding mask wearing. If I can do something that MIGHT help a human- well then, I’m doing it! #loveoneanother

One for the weekend!
My little 'twisted' sourdough boule.
For those of you who have done my courses, this has about 25g more active starter and 2g more salt than our usual recipe!!
It's good!!
Give it a go 👍

I am so excited to share with you all that I have been baking in Atlanta USA with the lovely @grace_graffiti ... @janannewaller .....I didn't have to fly there.. I just stayed home in my kitchen and taught her how to make sourdough.
We had so much fun and it's been great getting to know her a bit and hearing about the beautiful area that she lives in.
Well done with your first ever sourdough. It's been a pleasure teaching you from the 'Sourdough starter' to the 'finished loaf' 🙋🏼
I am looking forward to seeing you later for Tortilla making!! #sourdough #boletteseasysourdoughbread #america #georgia #atlanta #baking #remotelearning #zoom #teaching
