We get asked a lot of questions to do open community workshops very frequently. At this time, Consent Creatives of Arizona serves as a consulting body which houses the Arizona Intimacy Professionals Directory as well as additional resources for those wanting to work with a qualified intimacy professional. At this time, it is beyond our capacity to do workshops unless we are specifically hired for an institution, organization, or small group.

Can you tell I like spending time with other ICs?

Last week, I had the pleasure of joining the @womeninfilmla & @jhrtsla panel about Intimacy Coordination, organized by the brilliant @datingadvicegrl. We discussed how we got into this work, our processes, hiring, training, and more.

I had an absolute blast at the @lortelawards last night with the SUMO team and saw some of my favorite people.

I got too excited and didn’t take pictures with most of them, but what a gift to make stuff with these humans.

Confidence doesn’t come from knowing everything. It comes from having a space to practice and a community to support you when you need it. Building confidence is a massive challenge for intimacy professionals because how can you practice our work without taking huge risks?

That’s where the cohorts come in.

@openintimacycreatives is all about building skills, confidence, and community. The primary vehicle for that mission is the six-week cohort programs. Go through an entire mock-production process from prep to final product with a group of intimacy professionals.

Choose an area to focus in (theatre choreography or film coordination) and practice your skills, learn new ones, and get all of your on-the-job questions answered. Get feedback from your peers, directors, actors, and from experienced IC (and Open Founder @professorpace), and learn about the work by *doing* the work.

Ready to get doubt out of your way? Cohorts start next weekend. Taught live each week virtually, recorded so you can catch up (or review a session you missed), and accessible to you for an entire year.

Harlem: Season 3 starts tonight.

It is a treat to be with a show for all of its seasons. Entering the final season of @harlemonprime feels like closing an important chapter.

When we started Season 1, I was (very) pregnant and occasionally giving myself pregnancy-related, crafty-induced heartburn. Partway through the season, the pandemic shut everything down. When we came back, we were masked, shielded, tested to the moon and back, and wearing Bluetooth trackers that told us if we stood too long near anyone else. I was pumping in spare rooms between set-ups and developing a ln even deeper appreciation for mouthwash.

I learned so much ICing Harlem. It was a gift to work with this team. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to develop close working relationships (and often friendships) with many of the amazing ICs that covered me over the years. I couldn’t have done it without you.

Thanks, Harlem. I can’t wait to watch.

Staging Sex: LA is coming up fast!

Finish out your year of training with a weekend of in-person, hands-on, practical intimacy work.

Come for one day (or two!) and work with professional actors (and each other!) on some of the most highly requested workshop topics.

On Saturday, play through what happens when life happens on set or in rehearsal- last minute requests, shifting boundaries, on some of the most common issues and situations. Troubleshoot real-world situations in real-time and be ready for anything.

On Sunday, deepen your skills and practical knowledge in the most frequently asked for tools of the trade.
