SZA said it best — you better live your life, we’re running out of time. Being an entrepreneur is sooooo hard, but I’m thankful for the journey. I prayed for so many years, asking God what my purpose was… and in His time, He’s given me the opportunity to walk in it. 💜”

Today we honor the 100th birthday of Medgar Wiley Evers — a true American hero and civil rights warrior.
Born on July 2, 1925, in Decatur, Mississippi, Medgar Evers dedicated his life to fighting racial injustice and securing basic human rights for Black Americans — especially in the heart of the segregated South.
His work was tireless, courageous, and often dangerous and on June 12, 1963, he paid the ultimate price when he was assassinated in his own driveway.
Though his life was cut short, his impact still echoes. Today, we remember Medgar Evers not just for how he died — but for how he lived: with purpose, conviction, and an unshakable belief in the power of justice.

This past weekend, Mr. Evers was celebrated in Jackson Mississippi honoring his 100th birthday.

Happy Heavenly 100th, Mr. Evers. Your fight wasn’t in vain.
#Evers100 #MedgarEvers100 #CivilRightsHero #msvotes #Justice #LegacyOfCourage #FreedomFighter #MississippiHistory #democracyinaction

Elegance wrapped in every detail.

From the soft glow of the vellum belly band to the romantic blush of the rose colored envelopes, our wedding stationery is crafted to make your love story unforgettable.

Belly bands add a touch of elegance and functionality to wedding invitations. It wraps around the invitation suite to keep everything - like the RSVP card, details card, and invitation - neatly organized. Beyond its practical purpose, a belly band enhances the aesthetic appeal, serving as a decorative layer that can introduce textures, colors, or personalized elements like monograms or design motifs.

Say what you want but a tablescape with never be complete and fully dressed without personalizations and menus.

A beautifully set table sets the tone for any event, but a tablescape is never fully dressed without personal touches. Personalized menus, place cards, transform a simple setting into something extraordinary. Imagine walking up to your seat and seeing your name beautifully written – it makes every guest feel important, valued, and part of the experience. That’s what we’re passionate about here at Open Invitation Stationery Boutique.

Menus are more than just a list of dishes; they’re part of the design. When they match your theme, they elevate the whole event. Whether it’s a wedding, a dinner party, or a corporate gala, menus add that extra layer of sophistication and personalization that make your guests feel special.

Remember, every event tells a story. Your tablescape and details like personalized menus are part of that story. It’s the little things that guests will remember long after the night is over. So, when planning your event, don’t skip the personalizations – they’re the final touches that make everything come together perfectly.

Luxe weight and special, ornate shaped invitations can require extra postage, catching brides off guard.

Most standard wedding invitations are designed to fit within the weight limit of a single first-class stamp, which is generally up to 1 ounce. However, more elaborate or layered invitations with multiple inserts (such as RSVP cards, maps, and accommodation details) can easily push the weight beyond this limit. Once you exceed 1 ounce, postage costs increase incrementally. Every additional ounce can raise your postage cost by a significant amount, especially if you’re mailing to a large guest list.

Additionally, invitations that deviate from the standard rectangular shape may also incur additional fees. Square or oversized invitations, as well as uniquely shaped designs, are considered “non-machinable” by postal services. This means they require special handling and won’t fit through the automated sorting machines used for standard mail, resulting in a surcharge per envelope. Even adding certain embellishments, like wax seals, can increase costs if they make the envelope uneven or bulky.

How do you avoid being “caught off guard” at the post office? Ask your stationery designer for advice on sizing and weight to avoid unexpected postage costs.

Don’t get surprised by high postage fees! Schedule a consignment with us so that we can help you choose an invitation design that looks stunning without breaking the bank.
